Yes Taylor, that definitely is one of the symbols of Masonry. It is the square and compasses, two of the basic hand tools that were used by working masons when doing their stone work. building cathedrals and castles etc. many years ago..

Interesting. “Caja de Muerto”. I always thought that the island was called that because of how it looks from a distance, from the Ponce shore. It looks a lot like a coffin. I went there several years ago, and always wanted to go back. Very nice snorkeling. Hurricane María ruined the accommodations, and there is no money left to fix the damage. Many other tourist attractions in PR remain closed because of damage from María, and a few are only recently beginning to open again.
