I’ve been watching airsoft reviews for years.... I’ve noticed nobody does a 1-3-5-10 year recap. I want to know how long a gun will last if I were to play semi-regularly. How durable is it? What’s the biggest shock the gun took? Did it still work after that? How many rounds were sent through it? I should start making reviews.

Speaking of this... my first AEG was a gen 1 KWA M4 back in 08. I remember watching lots of reviews on it before I got it, but two stuck out. One was a very well done (especially for the era) review by a silly looking guy who wore a paintball mask and a boonie hat. He talked like a surfer for the whole video and it was an excellent, informative video. I can’t seem to find it on youtube anymore. The second was a kid who did a review of the RIS model and the whole video can be summed up as “here’s our accuracy test, I got that pizza box over there about 15 feet away,” *proceeds to mag dump into pizza box “As you can see it pretty accurate” I’m thinking I’d like to make videos like the latter.

I got the A5 and I have loved it so far, shoots great. I did switch mine to deans and shortened the wires a little and It made it much easier to get a battery in the hand guard.

I dont play a ton, was every weekend prior to pandemic now its just whenever me and my friend's get together to carpool out to the field. I slap it atleast once a game and never had any issues.

Picked up the A4 last week from Cartcon1 Airsoft. I've not been on the field with it just yet, mostly plinking in the backyard, getting acquainted. So far, I'm quite pleased with the quality and craftsmanship put into this rifle. I swapped out the included hi-cap for a mid-cap, the winding thing isn't my cup of tea.

The KWA MP7 gbb magazines are almost $50 a piece. So gun and 2 mags is the cost of the A5. Even the new VFC MP7 uses a new style mag. Its all in what you want to spend. Personally I would go with the A5. But I still love that MP7.

I would recommend the MP5. Magazines for it are way cheaper. And can be upgraded with some spicy performance parts with it being a V2 Gearbox. But the KWA MP7 is very good from what I understand. And also has some upgrades available specifically for the MP7 gbb. So it depends on if you want the realism of the gbb gun or just a stupidly robust upgradable AEG. Or just whether or not you’re more an MP5 or MP7 lover.

I have Cyma mp5k. It's not super accurate, but it's decent in full auto. If you want a mp5 for looks, then get one, if you want it because you want a great gun on the field, don't. Their midcaps are 50-100 rounds, and their Hi-caps are tiny compared to many other guns. They don't have a top rail to attach an optic ( and putting a decent optic on is the biggest upgrade you can do to an airsoft gun). On evike the scorpion evo is $20 more expensive and a much better gun. Short barreled Krytacs are the same price and much better guns. This one here looks better than mine, but there are better guns in this price range.

I didn't know that the selectors broke on airsoft MP5's. I have a airsoft MP5 with a broken selector (it's back in my mam's garage i think) i didn't know it was a common problem. It was my first AEG. I have my eye on the HK GBB G3, but it's kinda out of my budget, will stick with what i have for now. Those HK MP5's are nice, i nearly got one a few years ago but i was put off by the plastic upper that they had at the time, i wanted the G36c (don't care if one of them is plastic, the real ones are) but they were sold out everywhere i looked. Even missed out on the UMP.

in my experience with the MP5s the hicap only holds about 100 unless your start shoving your hand-toes into it at which point it starts messing with clogging/jamming. but at least the 100 round hicaps are realistic to the 80s action movie aesthetics with unlimited ammo

So im not that new to airsoft, have played for alittle over a year and own 3 guns now aswell, ive always had a issue with fogging though, im in Ct and its not too humid up here but i still always find my goggles getting stupid foggy. I run valken zulu's btw, ive noticed you run them aswell from time to time in some videos and id like to know if anyone or even you jet, have any other ideas or methods for anti fog on my goggles that wont break the bank or be too expensive with products, yes ive tried dawn dish soap aswell and it didnt work
