The Spring Mountain Range is known for natural caverns in the limestone/dolomite. I have found them in Red Rock below the gypsum mines. Kyle Canyon and Deer Creek junction and several mines in the Yellow Pine Mining District. I never found Kokoweef however. I bet that DT is the one explorer who will!

Me and my buddy Glenn explored a cool mine out in the Goodsprings area. It was awesome. I’m going to go look for that mine and see if we can find it. It looks like a pretty cool mind to do some exploring in. Maybe even take out a couple samples. LOL that was a wonderful video thanks for all the information

In this mine in particular, the miners had to have worked damned hard drilling blasting and moving that rock around. Have to wonder: did they make any money to make all that effort worthwhile. My sense is, with regard to this mine, these guys were finding gold.

I don’t know how have such a certainty when going into a stope and know what part of tunnel doesn’t go any further. From my understanding it seems like it would be geometrical of of knowing when going down a tunnel, whichever one that you go to on these adventures. Probably it’s just your experience.
