Doing A Brand New Trek In Annapurna Region, Nepal | KORI TREK | Ep 1 | Pokhara To Sikles Village

For people who have been looking for shorter duration yet beautiful and challenging treks in Nepal, then I would totally recommend doing the new trek called “KORI DANDA TREK”. This trek is not so popular yet as it is new but it’s slowly picking up. I was told by the authorities that I am the first Indian to try this trek (indeed moment of pride). Kori Danda Trek comes in the Annapurna region which houses one mountain above 8000m and 13 mountains above 7000m. Kori is one of the peaks in the Annapurna Region. Now that I have done this trek which took 10 days time, I can say it is a wonderful trek (full of adventure as the trails are new and in some places, trails don’t exist only) for people who are on a short vacation, want to try something adventurous and test their skills.
This trek starts from Sikles Village which is the largest Gurung village in Nepal. Gurungs are the indigenous people of Nepal. I loved exploring their culture and hospitality during my stay in Sikles Village. I hope you enjoy watching Episode 1 of this more. There will be 2 more episodes following this one. Wow!! Wonderful vlog! I met Maila dai owner of Namaste lodge back in 2012, such a humble and kind person. Group of our rider friends were having lunch in lakeside, pokhara and still undecided about where to go on our motorbikes trip. And the owner of restaurant recommended about this place called Sikles. It was first time We heard about this village and we left around at 2 pm. Road to village was freshly built like an year ago and was incomplete. It was quite a bumpy ride but we survived that day and reached village at night around 8 pm. We stayed at Maila Dai’s lodge it was located at the entrance of a village, we drank, danced and next day he took us to see a glacier fall from a view point of a village. Wow it was one of an unforgettable and unexpected adventure of my life , thanks Maila dai for your wonderful hospitality and thank you very much Desigirl traveller for sharing this journey with us❤️xXx

Actually shamanism is a big part of Nepali culture which is slowly dying. This form of Bon only the Gurungs follow, but there are many other communities who follow shamanism despite the influence of Hinduism now

maybe bcz nearly 80% area in nepal is rural and mountainous.. also unlike india nepal's electricity consumption is low as nepal does not have huge industries, companies, railway network, metro etc. which requires large % of electricity and constant power supply.

AC and fridge is nothing compared to those yes but their effect is bad on environment. Also people who can afford have AC and fridge. AC is not so common but ppl have fridge . Same as in my village in UK.. And yes nepal has our heart, mind n soul. Nepal is love ❤️
