Wait what are your feeds and speed? It’s too blurry for me to see the numbers I keep getting acrylic bunched up in the bit

One of the best tutorials i have watched in a long time, clear and concise, with exactly the right amount of information that any level of student would be able to follow, thank you, looking forward to watching many more

Unless you are mounting your sign in a frame that goes around all 4 sides, dont forget to center your work minus the amout of acrylic being inserted into the mounting.

Which bit would be best to cut the acrylic
@AvidCNC4 жыл бұрын
An Up-Cut bit would be your best choice. This video goes over router bit selection for plywood, but we do touch on Acrylic machining briefly. We can make router bit selection videos for other materials if there is interest. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp3JiKqfi8SMrLM

Thank you! I’ve been watching tons of these acrylic sign videos, and yours is the first to show the bit used and the tool path generated! Feeling more confident to use all the acrylic I bought!

Cool vid. Does VCarve do 3d surfacing along with 2.5d?
@AvidCNC8 жыл бұрын
+Jess Neal Hi Jess - Yes, vCarve PRO 8.0 does a really good job of 3D surfacing with solid technical CAM strategies and "artistic embellishment" features that are very easy to use. I'll post a video in the next couple weeks. Thanks for the question!

Do you need to tilt the whole cut into the surface so the lighting doesn't create shadows?
