I feel so bad that people call you out for your comments towards your mother! It is so apparent that you both love and adore each other, and have a truly wonderful relationship. Our daughter makes some of those same comments and eye rolls to my wife, however, I know that they understand each other thoroughly and love each other to death! Plus, I do want to add that you are genuinely organized, love and KNOW decor, study & research your content, and work hard to provide your viewers a great experience and extended knowledge. I love the way you let the rude comments roll off your back and just laugh it off! I love you both and love the way you’re open to constructive criticism and trying to get better. Honestly ...I too love my home to be light and bright......and I think "trends" are not as powerful as they once were as there are just too many people who are confident about their own style at younger ages these days. So many pretty styles to choose from that are classic ...why follow trends? Tell your own story with decor and colors or neutrals that YOU love ......be you and fill your home with what speaks to you ...not what the latest "trend" says to do.....be a rebel and surround yourself with a home that tells YOUR story!! ...I love touring all different style of homes and hope you take us on many tours this year! And KUDOS to you ladies for the best and kindest overview of this subject! Some designers are so offensive with their options of "what's OUT".....not everyone has a budget/nor wants to change their decor every 10 years.....anyway you ladies did this subject RIGHT!!

I agree. I have hundreds of books. I have built-in bookshelves in my living room, dining room, master bedroom and my main hallway is lined with bookshelves. I’ve read most of the books. I group mine by subject, not color .
