Designa Dartboard Review from Darts Corner.

Have never heard of this board looks decent for the price. Would you consider just uploading you playing games you have a very nice throw and it’s entertaining to watch.

Good honest review. Definitely a non branded mission samurai 2 of which I bought a month ago and it stayed up for a week.Its like concrete on the trebles, doubles and like your review the bullseye is only staying in if I use a nail gun to propel it. I use 21g and have never had so many darts hit the floor. Blade 6 is back up now and it's like night and day in comparison.

I think these boards are effectively nor perfect quality versions of the Samurai 2 and the boards they print for custom boards. I think they get these on bulk order then any that aren't quite perfect they sell as "designa" boards rather than printing them as Samurai 2s or personalized boards. Nice review though and as you say makes a nice cheap board to practice at home

Just upgraded my Blade 5 to the Blade 6 triple core and purchases the Winmau Plasma LED ring light and surround, previously used a spot light and the wooden case the the Blade 5. Your channel is so insightful to the point that I recommended it to the Argos delivery driver when he dropped my new board off

Thanks for the review. It's helped me out a lot. I don't like the branding on dartboards so I think I'll just buy another old faithful winmau and spray paint over the branding.

I think I'll stick to my Winmau Blade boards. £42 for a Blade 5 in Argos. I know the darting purist sometimes slates the quality of Argos' Winmau boards, but I've never ever had a problem with them, and I've been getting them since the Blade 3.

The only pb I had was on a batch of three Eclipse pro dartboards :) the wires would protrude 4 mills, only two to three weeks of use of the board All three of them were like that. had bought them 'cse there was a very good discount. Turned out not to be a very good one considering lol . This dates back to 2006, and I started using them in 2016, a bit late to take them back :) , other than that, for my level of a casual player, never had any pbs with boards from Argos, on the contrary, good value for money, but times change and today, haven't been to England for about 5 years...so, thanks for you reviews and subscribers comments .

Ite actually the same as the blade boards but I think it's because the trebles are a but smaller.

I played 1 month on this board... Just gave it one turn and all the trebles death... All the darts came down... Bought a nodor supamatch 3 did the same thing after 2 months of playing... Bought a gladiator 3 + and now I'm back playing and finding my game again after almost 3 months of bad boards... It really gets in your head when your arrows won't stick in the board...

If you want value for money, this board is for you. I still haven't turned it. 🤣 I also like the fact its a medium level of hard. Winmau play the best, but when you player super league or county its always on a harder dartboard. This is the best practice board in my opinion. :)

Do you have any experience with the Mission Samurai 2 boards? They're currently on amazon for only £1 more than the Designa. Also, darts corner sells them in a bundle, with a surround and oche sticker (+ six sets of cheap darts), for £54.95.

I like the samurai boards. They can be a bit hard though. Iv just been told that te designa boards are actually mission samurai near perfects being passed off as anther brand. This makes sense given the obvious problems with this dartboard. I'll get the samurai next time. :)

No, a dartboard can be to hard. With the way modern board are wired, the smaller segments are more compresed anywah. This is why alot more of darts at the bull fall out without hitting a wire or defecting. You want the board to be softer on the top layer to allow good entry the hard under neath to grip the point. This is why the Dule Core is so incredible. The top is very soft and the layer underneath is more compressed.

what board do you recommend for someone who plays / trains everyday ?

At the moment I think the Blade 6 dartboards are best. Thr standed is Blade 6 really good for £45 though the dule will last a month or two longer. I don't think the triple makes much difference. 🤔 if I pay for the triple it's because its my full time job and I often have people coming to the office for coaching but the dule is extremely good.

Good dartboard but don't seem to heal very well. I found the holes tend to stay very noticeable. Let me know if you find this to he the case. :)

Looks like a nightmare board to play on for me, I think I just keep on paying 10€ more and get a quality Winmau Blade 5 or 6.

Do the holes close up quickly or slowly?

Not really about average. The main problem with the board is how ridiculous hard it is. I was getting a bounce out every three or four visits and it's extremely difficult to get the darts to land consistent. If you had aggressive points and a flat throw it would probably be ok but for most players it's definitely not worth the money.

Yeah, to be honest the board seems to have gotten even harder since and it's only a few weeks old. Im gunna give it to a local youth club or somthing.
