Tbf, I didn't pay for this, and I agree with you to some extent. I enjoy it, but i couldn't justify 1k, including improve tax on it. I love it for adding a touch of pressure but it's not perfect and it's not affordable for most people.

Hiya mate going through a bit of a funk with my darts at the moment. My throw is quite snatchy and it’s resulting in a lot of my darts ending up low and it just don’t feel comfortable at all. I’ve tried different grips but nothing seems to be working. My consistency is also something that has always bugged me and always put me off going to tournaments. Any advice? 😅

Thanks for this, something which I had not considered. Just struggle recently with my darts, overthinking/changing things too much, would you ever recommend taking a brief period (a week or so) off from practicing?

Whether professional players train their arm in the gym, are there any exercises for what helps to throw better, or is it all, just in throwing hours
@Straightdarts4 күн бұрын
Using wrist and fingers strengthening equipment helps. Your arm should be super relaxed. Always flick or push from the wrist instead of throwing with the arm.

Such a masterpiece of throw, poetry in motion 🤩 does he just push the arm straight forward or is he flicking the wrist right from the beginning after the draw back ? Hard to figure out for me 😕

Gary said he feels like he pushes the point with his fingers. His wrist dose lift easier than most, as its definitely as flick as well though. :)

I’ve thought about this a lot since your last video and watched all the videos featuring the service I could. Two things I thought were- 1. Andy does say he doesn’t believe in changing points as the manufacturer knows best. Why then do they all put in the cheapest points available and sell a whole range of replacement points? 2. Every video I watched ended with the customer being given torpedo shaped darts like the crypt. But maybe this is indeed the ultimate shape of dart for the darts to land consistently at the desired angle in the board for the majority of less experienced players. Just because many of us were given a straight barrelled dart as a kid and have got to a fair level with them doesn’t mean a straight barrel is the ultimate shape. Just a couple of thoughts since I commented on the last video.
@Straightdarts6 күн бұрын
Only two out of the top 80 players in the PDC use darts very similar in shape, I find it very unlikely that's the best dart for so many customers conservatively. Just my opinion, though.
@adrianunderwood9616 күн бұрын
@@Straightdarts - I think it’s hard to know because most of the top pro players as kids were undoubtedly given a set of bristows or more recently Anderson’s or Lewis’ or the equivalent straight barrelled dart. For 10-25 quid you could get the best darts available. My point is that this data isn’t really decisive in determining the best shape for a dart and therefore it might well be the case that a torpedo or a bomb is as good if not better. My guess is that if Jockey or Eric had come out playing with torpedoes the darts of the top 20 in the world might look somewhat different.
@Straightdarts5 күн бұрын
@adrianunderwood961 You feel it's more lickly that they didn't try different shape darts rather than they used what works? 28 out of today's top 32 active the same angle of entry with a long, thin dart, it's technique. A long dart griped at the rear, and a front landed dart fly the same in terms of balance. Another reason I think he is a conman is he coaching prices. £99 for a 10 minute online chat. 🤣 www.dartscoach.co.uk/

Very nice, between you and the Darren (the weavers). I would love both sets. I just started watching you about 3 weeks ago, and I have enjoyed and learned a lot. The worst part is I live in the southwest desert, New Mexico. But I will be moving soon to North Caralina on the East Coast. Hardly anyone plays darts here. So, looking into the scolia and practice practice practice. Anyways, thanks to you and Darren and the Scottish Cowboy. My love for the game has Reignited. Thumbs 👍

One thing Ive always wondered about, having such a blunt nose, same as MVGs, isnt that just horrendous for deflects and such? Nice looking set tho!
@Straightdarts8 күн бұрын
Not really, if your dart flies very flat, then yes, as you can catch the flight easily, but most players darts don't hit the barrel until the point is almost in the board. Iv been using K Flex and a james wade nose for 8 weeks hit, hit over 80, 180s, and they are almost new. It depends on your personal angle of entry. :)

You know, if I wasn't going on vacation next month I'd have taken a set more for the support. Beautiful darts though. I can see what they're designed for and they might even turn out surprisingly good, but it's way off what I'm currently attempting (somewhat between the Anderson Phase 2, Whitlock 3 and Wright PL15). They're probably drilled out rather deep, aren't they? Have you ever tried them with the Humphries style 66mm shafts?

Yeah, iv tried everything, that shape isn't for me :) and they are drilled slightly more that most but not as much as last time :)
