From my time in the US, whilst the South does have a long history of racism and Southerners are stereotyped as being racists, I've noticed that there's probably more racism now in those "Rust Belt" states than in the South. Probably explains why states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin went for Trump in 2016, and why Georgia, Texas and South Carolina turned into Purple states in 2020.

1. A president cannot order a Governor to do something lol, that's not how that works. 2. A president can declassify anything, meaning he could have told the Governor the names of the agents easily and without any issue. 3. It would not be obstructing a federal investigation if CIA agents were detained in accordance to local ordinance. CIA agents are not given immunity in either state or federal land.
