It means, more often than not, nichè fragrances are made with more raw materials and a higher concentration of oils... and that's why you are paying a higher price point... now that doesn't apply to every nichè fragrances in the market... but you haven't smelled every nichè perfume in supply and neither have I... it's simply a blanket statement that applies to most product

Designer. Even thought Layton is my favorite, I have found that designer fragrances agree with me overall. Add the fact that as a whole, designer is much more cost effective, and it's an easy choice. Thankfully, we don't need to choose and can have both.

I would choose Niche fragrances because they usually have their own identity. They are usually better crafted with finer ingredients and more artistic :)

I'd choose Designer-ish Niche I guess 🤔 I'm not into super mainstream designers, but also I don't care about super artistic / hard to wear niche fragrances. I want designers able to give me real emotions, and I want niche to amaze me in a good way that I could make good use of. I guess it's not fair to choose a middle ground, but life is hardly fair. 😋 P.S.: You really put yourself in a tough position in this video. Probably the Chanel vs Amouage was the easyest one, and I really couldn't imagine you choosing between ombré leather and carlisle! 😁

Dior Homme could be one of those, like Ombré Leather is; but also things like SWY Absolutely, that is part of a mainstream line if you wish, but it has his own magic!! And many others. Eau Sauvage Parfum? fantastic! Beau de Jour? amazing! Prada L'Homme? Fairly common but undeniably a masterpiece! At the same time things like Cedrat Boise, Layton, Naxos, a few Acqua di Parma, and many others are niche fragrances that are a fantastic experience to wear, in many contexts and without complications. High quality stuff still made to smell pleasant!

@@sjnscale the issue is that these niches ones you rarely can get great discounts. While designers are already half price of niche you can get them even 40-50% cheaper sometimes... effectively you cant get around 3 or 5 niche-quality designers for the price of one Niche.

@@d7r_tv it depends from the brand and the luck. Tom Ford is more expensive than most niche frags I have. Dior costs usually more than my Acqua di Parma where I live. And manceras have a great price! Can't say the same about every Chanel 🤔

The three I don’t regret buying Adventus Dior homme intense and ombré leather. However I can’t justify buying Aventus when L’Aventure smells just as good. Ombré leather offers more flexibility and will always form part of my collection. I prefer Prada L’Homme Intense for very formal work events. Wearing it puts me in professional state so I can see myself replacing it.

I agree with Oud Wood. It’s so addicting to smell. If I could only have 3 fragrances, it would be one of the three. If I could only have 1, might very well be that. The other 2 in my top 3 would be Chanel Pour Monsieur and Chanel Egoiste (not the platinum one)

I’ll call Tom Ford signature fragrances designer (well luxury designer) and I call the private blends niche as they’re harder to find and much more expensive. Chanel’s line can be classed as luxury designer and the exclusifs are considered niche in my books.

Prada is in my collection plus Prada Intense I just opened my back up Prada OG bottle 3 days ago, but I paid $160 for Intense when in Australia I heard it was being didiscontinued and it was a blind buy, I've used a bit but now it is definitely gone, I see it's around $350 bottle. But I was told YSL BLEU ELECTRIQUE was being discontinued ages back paid $160 AUD and it must be back in production as in Australia its at the high end retailers for around $190 100ml. It' sux being a collector in Aust as we pay full price except for really some now and then discounters mainly at pharmacists I'd love just to buy a ticket 🎫 to go to Europe and just go duty free actually a ticket to the USA and just spend a week going to all the discounters and retailers and buying what I pleased, buy I'm about 7ml left of my first 60ml Dior Elixier and can't believe I paid $345 AUD for the 100ml size but I know based on the 60ml which lasted over 2yrs , so the 100ml I know min 3 yrs hopefully 4, just hope Dior leave the formulation as it is gold in a bottle

I've got oud wood in black bottle with gold plac and man the longevity is 12 hours easily , I've also got neroli portofino in same dark bottle with gold plac and that lasts 8 hours , same tom ford vintage private blends really a special purchase

I blind bought Naxos because it got so much hype. The smell of honey and tobacco is such a disgusting combination that gets me nauseating. Btw. I've smelt Aventus and the sales person told me the new batches are better then I bring Armaf Intense Man with me and pulled it out and sprayed on my other arm , I said considering you want $499 and this Armaf cost me $49 , I will be back in 30mins , yes the first 5mins of Intense man is a bit rough but within 15mins Intense man was at its peak and so was Creed, and Armaf was the superior projector and Creed was fading away, I went back and she smelt the Armaf first but she didn't know which arm I sprayed what on and then she smelt Creed, her words were " see how strong Creed I's I said to her that was Armaf and now smell the Creed and she couldn't believe what she was smelling, I said $49 to $499. She said she was told that the new Creed batches were stronger I'm not a niche person, there are so many great designers, so it just proved that Armaf is the new Creed, but today I'm rocking Chanel Allure Sport Eau Extreme and I haven't taken too much notice of its projection and performance but I'm a 15 plus sprayer no sissy stuff except for Dior Sauvage Elixir which is about 4 -5 sprays MAX even 3 does the job, but om really enjoying the Chanel . Class
