For anyone looking at the björksnäs nightstand: it’s actually solid wood, not particle board and veneer, and you don’t have to use the leather pull, the front comes with pre-drilled holes. It definitely doesn’t look cheap!
@marmir48522 жыл бұрын
Yes I was about to post the same. The bed frame from the same series is solid as well. I think at the moment those are the only two good massiv wood quality options at ikea.

I feel quite affirmed by this video, just having moved interstate I have had the opportunity to rebuild my bedroom from scratch. I'm on my yellow linen bedspread with yellow euro pillows propping me up, a chrome lamp sitting next to me on a fold out table which you liked, pops of terracotta and some neon in my throw as well, a patterned rug which is holding a lot of the colours together... I just need to get something green I guess and then I would have this Ikea designed room you made!

So, I work in the visual merchandising and interior design group at an IKEA in Dallas, and I'm DYING laughing at this video! (For good reasons!) We're so restricted to keeping within "style groups" (that only IKEA knows internally, something of a frustration that we don't share with our customers) and so it is refreshing to see someone mixing modern and traditional. I think interesting video from your perspective would be a blank slate room designed with common design store VS one that is entirely done via FB market/ETSY and compare. I dunno...maybe thats harder than I think but could be interesting to see what the outcomes are and the differences in pricing for the looks. Maybe they need to be somewhat similar looks? Take it or leave it. I have no idea what I'm even saying!

Thanks so much - this is super helpful. I think it would be great if you could do the whole concept of designing an expensive looking architectural digest style room with the moody vibe i associate you with, but do a whole board like this to create a super cool room using relatively inexpensive things from a lot of companies - not just stick with one company to create an entire room. You are the best. I look forward to your videos and opinions.
@pkinneer86532 жыл бұрын
Something else related to this. Would you ever be willing to take people's boards that they create like this - along with a current pic of the space and tell them what you think about it. I suppose I actually am looking for a designer and know that you would be divine as this, but perhaps this is a way to start?
@shellisannes4642 жыл бұрын
Paige you can tuck your hair behind your ears, it is fine, be you. Do not listen to the person that made you self conscious about that 💕 The brown floater with those pillows and the yellow bedding is good. I didn’t like the white little lamp, cause they are so small, and reading below a taller lamp is better next to the bed for me. Every other mixed pattern was good for my brain. Fun mix of looks. IKEA is Swedish btw ☺️ but Danish is just as good and similar 😁
