Beautiful project!!! Definitely signing up for the interest check! Side note: modern 60% boards are in fact derivatives of the original Apple M0110 that came with the first Macintosh (which the HHKB Japanese keyboard, that would come a few years later, used as inspiration). So, technically, the HHKB design predates the modern 60% keyboards (with "moogle" bottom rows) by more than a decade... :)

I have been having the same thoughts for about 2 years now since the keyboard market has gone stale recently with every 2 months there's a new keyboard coming from china while offering nothing new to the scene. Despite not having the fund for it I'll one day have my dream board with everything I want. I find this video inspiring to continue on my keyboard development.
