if This Brand identity was supported with a marketing campaign it can go far, neat design

This video popped up in my suggestions and the reason I clicked is because you are wearing an END shirt in the thumbnail. Hooked on your videos now, can’t wait to see more.

This is probably the best decision I've made in my life, because you're not the first or even second person to make a comment about my END shirt 🤣 Welcome aboard!

Love it. Great brand identity idea and designs. Stylish skate brand for sure. If I had 1 bad thing to say (after 100 good ones), it would be that the asterix you settled on remined me too much of the red hot chili peppers logo. I would change that up to something with curves, or maybe put it in a circle. Your design skills are way higher than mine, I'm sure you would kill it.

Truthfully, I absolutely forgot they use an asterisk 😆 Someone else mentioned the same thing and it jogged my memory. I had briefly mentioned it in the video, but I could have spent a little more time on the asterisk icon. So I completely agree with you!

If this was a real brand I’d definetly buy. It resonates with my love for skateboarding, rock music, dirty sneaks, and scraped skin which I forgot I had love for😂. W content, great lesson

I guess my only concern would be (if I put myself in the shoes of a skater trying to sign with your brand) what about my personal brand? If I'm censored in every image I'm not really putting myself out there. Other than that great process!
@Collect_Contrast5 ай бұрын
That's fair, but I'd assume there are also lots of people who don't care about being famous or recognizable. They want to skate and be known for their skills. Plus, as I showed in most designs, their names are still present so their is still credit.

Loved the process and the design. Will defo sub - also in the future if you could integrate other aspects of your life (if you're comfortable) with the design process showcasing like going out to a cafe or smth to jot your ideas, that would be very cool too but just a suggestion :)

Thank you! The bigger question is, do you think I leave my house? 🤣 I very rarely do design work away from my desk. The only place i might do it is at a co-working space, but I'm not allowed to film in there
@lorel7475 ай бұрын
@@Collect_Contrast haha I feel the same way sometimes but you could also film stuff inside the house if that works!

8:50 how did you get that cool blurred/ blown-out effect on the fonts? dope vid btw
@Collect_Contrast5 ай бұрын
Let me see if I can explain it well enough here! You create white text and a black background. Combine both of those into a smart object. Then you add field blur to the areas you want to blur and to what degree you want to blur. Then add some noise so the blur doesn't look so clean. If you want you could stop here or you could throw it into the filter gallery and try out 'Torn Edges' or 'Stamp'. Hopefully, this all makes sense! I believe I cover this in my video 'Tools, Tips, and Tricks for Creative Typography'. So you can watch that to get a better idea for the effect and maybe pick up a few extra tricks 😁
