I would weigh in that Whitney is a white that has a subtle blue tint, but still definitely white, tho the blue accent highlights does make the white look more blue. Surrounding colors do tend to change how we perceive the main color we're looking at. Also that is quite the adorable apartment. I'm especially blown away with the exterior landscaping

Honestly, probably the one that shows off the most personality out of all the builds ive watched so far! Interiors are such a good thing to tell stories and show off personality of characters and i feel like its so under appreciated, Whitney is a material gowrl and this minimalist chic apartment really shows it! Although... she would NEVER leave a sink in such a state, but thats just me

Whitney is mainly blue because if you compare her face to her feet than she is light blue. Also on the Animal Crossing wiki under Appearance, it says she is a light blue wolf

It occurs to me that small garden builds like this is great for beginners to learn from in terms of using paths, placing trees etc, since it's so quick, and most things you do here can be replicated on a larger scale (like the making of the little forest).

Hmmm, that’s actually kinda difficult to tell what color she is lol. She’s clearly a blue tinted white wolf, since the bottom half of her jaw is more clearly white than the rest of her, but is she blue enough to count as a blue wolf or is she just a blue tinted white wolf? I can’t tell 😂

I've always seen Whitney as white especially in earlier games, maybe because they had more to work with for ACNH then they decided to give her a little blue tint? So all in all, she's technically both

Art kid hear to throw my hat in the rings in terms of “is Whitney white or blue” with colouring characters u never want just straight white or black, it just looks real weird, it always has to be slightly saturated (slightly coloured) theres warm tones (reds/oranges/yellows) and cool tones (blue/purple/green) think of a warm grey for example, being hit with a dim red light, that colour is a warm grey, change the light to blue it’s a cool grey. Whitney is not blue, she is simply a cool-toned white, if she was cream you wouldn’t say she’s yellow you’d say cream or whit ya know? Also keep in mind that blush is a think, if someone turns pink their skin tone isn’t now pink it’s just pink in those places but it’s blended out to the rest of the skin tone giving a pink-er appearance throughout the whole face. By the way I totally know I’m taking this too seriously LMAO I think this is the longest comment I’ve ever made Lex I’m so sorry to distract from your beautiful build with my Art kid ranting 🤣🤣 also Rosie isn’t blue or purple she’s indigo :P

I am an artist and my name is Whitney. I also have the villager, Whitney, on my island, because of course. I'd like to believe this gives me a little insight into this debate 😅. Whitney literally means "white Island." I agree that she obviously has blue shading/tones, but is definitely WHITE. She has more blue shading in ACNH as opposed to previous versions, but I 100% believe she was and is intended to be a WHITE wolf. ✌🏻🤍

Whitney is a very light blue with darker tips and getting darker as they get closer to the end. Whenever she is telling you what she wants, the bottom of her mouth is white, and you can see the distinct line between the white mouth and her light blue fur. Her arms are also white going into a light blue fade. She is both white AND blue lol

From an artists perspective, Whitney is a very light blue. White means PURE white on the monochrome scale. Whitney is on the blue scale. She's near white, but not quite (that rhymes lol).

White doesn’t need to be pure white on the monochrome scale to be considered white. Most artists actually add a bit of blue or yellow to their whites to give it more dimension. Especially since white reflects other colors a lot, so it makes sense for white materials to be slightly ”off color” to match the lighting for example. For something to be considered white, it just needs to look white compared to the rest of the colors near it. It doesn’t need to be perfectly pure white (this goes for all colors). It’s funny actually, a lot of the white things in our daily life, like clothes and sometimes paper, are intentionally given a slight blue tint to make them look ”more white” or ”cleaner”. So a lot of things in our daily life aren’t even pure white. That aside, I do still agree though. Whitney is definitely light blue. This is clear from the simple fact that the tips or her arms and legs and her lower jaw are whiter compared to the rest of her body. So she is definitely made to be light blue.

I think Whitney is white and blue. You can see her chin is more white than her face area, I propose parts of her are white then fade out into a light LIGHT pale blue then into a darker blue on her cheeks and tail tip. You can see this best when she’s sitting at the hhp table with her chin pointed up dreaming about her home. (Just my opinion as a full time artist lmfao- she can be whatever you want her to be tbh)
