Thats a cool idea. I actually had trying something like that or a wizards tower perhaps. Next two up up the second part of Boxcutter as its an awesome tool and then using it to make weapons/guns to show the process of using it for a project. But it I will add them to the list. Yeah, I actually have that on all the time normally so I can spot issues as they happen but I set it so that the outer face doesn't have the blue colour in preferences.

I fixed it, a mate had Z Brush. He opened it in there and noticed an issue. I ended up having to delete all the face of the Plinth for Z and -Z axis, then used 3D Printer to make manifold to fill in the missing faces. Then did the Boolean Union and it worked. Sorry you message chain never came up on my notifications, which is annoying, I hope I'm not missing lots of other messages too. I was going to say if that has happened it's going to be an issue with the mesh somewhere. Glad you got it sorted. It's best to work with the exact boolean method as it means you see things like this early, otherwise fixing it later in the process is a pain.
