Check the video she recommended about the Web design SOP, she did a detailed work at explaining how it works. It has something to do with sending a remix link for your client to download on their framer account (a paid account precisely)

Another "Spot On" vid Anna! I agree with you in that templates are a great starting point-- and "Framer" has many many of them. Just last night I was tweaking the color elements to convey a sense of flow to a website I'm designing. Also, I like that Framer has an invite link for others to view. I'm going through Framer's tutorials-- a lot of good discoveries overall. Your vidz really inspire and the resources you mentioned really does Spark ideas for me! So high five to you Anna✋! My ears find your voice to be a natural balance of "calm and action" and when you use the word "icky" it makes me laugh because it's true!

I'm intrigued by how you sell websites to clients, particularly business owners. It seems like you offer more than just the website itself. How do you persuade clients that the website alone holds significant value? Can you elaborate on that?
@BigJonkulous
@BigJonkulous 2 ай бұрын
I believe the value proposition comes down to lead generation (which means more sales). Anna talks about it in other videos.
@yamix.brands

you need to learn how a converting page works in order for them to get results & the sell only works if they see the value by you asking questions & figuring out if they have lack of sells. your goal is to help not to just sell a webdesign service, if you think you can help them with converting landing page/ Funnel / that's where you offer them a strategy session paid along with your service of you think you can help them based on the answers of what you got from the call ! if they are a local business you do the same & you upsell SEO or Google ADS to the client for a monthly retainer

@@BigJonkulous Got it. I think this is the kind of transparency that Anna and a lot of fellow web designers on KZbin are missing. As a business owner & designer myself, I’m not going to invest in a website or pay thousands a month without seeing real results it can generate for me. While Anna's content on TikTok and KZbin helps her attract clients, I think she is doing much more behind the scenes to sell and close deals with business owners. This level of transparency is what's missing in this video.

@@okaytobi Yep, it's a common theme among these designers who make "over 1M a year", they'll tell you the basics of starting but when it comes to locking down clients why tell everyone exactly how they do it? They'd be handing off their potential client pool to other designers and agencies if their strategy was advertised to millions on KZbin and other social media.
@okaytobi
@okaytobi Ай бұрын
@@bak3s ahaha I completely agree; education on KZbin has turned into a cash grab since the launch of the KZbin Creator Program, which allows monetization once you surpass 1,000 subscribers. While I don't knock the hustle, I do miss the golden days of KZbin when you could learn without constantly being sold to.

How did you set up the payment for the different services? I really like framer for design, but I have a hard time implementing functionality like payments, forms, user accounts, APIs. Do you think framer is in general better for “simpler“, more static sites?

So by using Framer, how does your clients go in and update text or images themselves? Are you linking up some kind of CMS the customers can access?
@llewellynvaneeden4467
@llewellynvaneeden4467 2 ай бұрын
Framer has what we call a Remix link - this basically allows your client to receive the website that you have built and launch it in their Framer account. From there they can have full access to the website.
@NateSwanni
@NateSwanni Ай бұрын
I’d imagine you would need to setup a CMS at the very least. Unfortunately Framer doesn’t have a simple ‘client edit’ mode like Webflow which makes it difficult to just hand sites off without some form of maintenance retainer - which the client doesn’t always want

@johnrake4

She's doing traditional web design, you're talking about traditional web development. There just fundamentally different services as yours will involve tons of custom coding and framer isn't a coding platform. If your background is more development I would lean towards clients that need high levels of data customizations, integrations, analytics, etc. And yes, that should cost way more, which is also why it's hard to make work selling simple websites to local businesses in your area. It just won't be cost effective for your time unless you can get above the $10k+ range IMO

As a designer I wouldn't call this designing a website but rather building something quickly that probably converts but still looks like a mockup. Many people could DIY something like that. I would feel bad charging for this. No hate here, just an honest opinion.

There's so more value in the copy than in the latest gimmicky design. For most clients you need a design that works, nothing more. If you're Nike, maybe you would spend some more dollar on fancy design. But for small brands, most users can't see great design any way. When I ask my clients what good design is to them I often get websites that look like relics from the 80s to me... But copy that sells is direct value to any business.

False. If you're trying to emulate award winning animations, then perhaps you could be right. I have 4 clients on Framer, all 95+ score on Lightspeed. They all rank on Google's 1st position for multiple keywords. I get paid great money, my clients make more money, everyone is happy. Nobody cares about the tool, they care about the end-result. Framer is just a tool that 4x my ability to deliver websites more quickly.
