Please make more videos on this topic. Particularly larger things like bridges (steel & stone). Also if you're ever interested in commission work, I've got a few projects I can throw your way.

I’m working on one now that is a 3d printed fixture system for building a trestle.

Well done, giving me dangerous ideas…. My wife may not see me for days at a time now!

Awesome! Gale you liked it. Let me know if there is anything specific you’d like to see covered.

Really cool ... I was thinking about trying to design some buildings and print them out also. I do computer science / robotic machine learning research and print a lot of my robotic parts but also do model railroading as a hobby. Great to see someone doing this! Do you use any type of architectural CAD or just a mechanical CAD.

I worked as an industrial designer for a number of years. SolidWorks was the design software I used and continue to use to this day.

Nice idea about the panel. So you make one panel as a file, and then "import" a completed panel into a new drawing? Are you using a 0.2mm nozzle for prints? How about layer height? I model N-Scale so the layer lines are a bit exaggerate using FDM, but resin printing doesn't work too well with flat panels.

Yes, kind of. When I “cut” a section from the large brick panel for example, I save the file as “save as” so it creates a new part but keeping the original file in tact to use again in the same way. I could see N scale being a little tougher with FDM, I will try the fire station file in N scale and see how it comes out with my system.

Very cool , hope to see more details , what program, what printer, going subscribe your channel

I use SolidWorks because I used to work as an industrial designer. It’s overkill but it’s what I’m used to. I have Creality K1 printer. I’ve been very happy with it.

Great lesson, but you don't need that music playing over you.
@DesignBuildWorkshopАй бұрын
Does the music come over too loud? It should really just be barely in the background. I really appreciate any feedback so I can improve my videos. Thanks!
