Well, I've only watched two of your videos, but that was enough for me to subscribe. As perspective, I have not subbed to a youtube channel in at least 2 years . . . Anyway, your pointers video was very good, and your understanding of pointers, the address of operator, stack frames, and the heap is very apparent. As an experienced developer in lower level languages, it is refreshing to find a video as such that does not bore me to tears, while covering the material that matters most. Your relaxed video persona is also very much appreciated !

I love this video! I just watched it after the your Unity videos (you have a big talent for explaining stuff in an relaxed, engaging and clear way!) and so this is actually kind of cool to see what you've been teaching being put into practice. Good luck on your game!

Hey just a question do you think that you’ll have a tutorial to how to make a 2d game, or the basics at least? Also really good video!

I'm going to preface this with, "I have no idea what I'm actually talking about" I don't know game assets, or Unity...but I was just watching a video where someone had a similar issue with Unreal Engine... His had to do with import settings of the artwork. Specifically was doing Paper2D in UE and the default import was something else that applied a blur like effect that created a glow. Again, NO clue if similar in any way...but good luck! Excited to see more!

Amazing. In spite of the fact that I know how to program and wrote a game engine by myself, my head is absolutely empty for ideas, I know that I wanna make a game but I do not know what it should look like. I wish you a good luck with your game.

I like your animations, I can't wait to see when detail is added. Are you going to keep that parallax? The movement is faster than the foreground, very disorienting.

Yes, I think the parallax is too much, should be fixed 😁, thanks for the tip

That weird outline thing wouldn't be anything to do with the compression settings on the sprite in Unity would it?
@P0Omah3 жыл бұрын
Also the runing animations look great and have a lot of character to them but I feel the parallax scrolling goes a little too fast and the closest layer looks to move across faster than the actual platforms you're running on. Looking great, can't wait to see where this project goes!

I'm an aspiring game dev myself, and this is super inspiring. Thank you for posting. I have a theory for what's going on with the haloing (and the parallaxing, actually). Don't want to be pushy 'helpful,' so let me know if you're interested. Do these dev logs help you keep momentum?

I feel like the background move too fast. In my understanding, background shouldn't move faster than foreground and the farther it gets, the slower it moves, but I might be wrong. Aside from that, Its a great start, keep up the good work! :)

make it so the speed of the animation depends on the speed of the player because the animation feels faster the player! so it can be more expandable, for example if you want to add walking or something😀
