This video is part 1 in a series of video I am doing on designing & building a body jig for a Classic Ford Mustang, also sometimes called a chassis jig, or frame jig. Body jig is probably the most accurate as the Mustang does not have a frame, it is Uni-body construction. The purpose of the body jig is to keep the important locating points of the body where they are supposed to be as you cut out rusty metal to replace it.
The main frame is going to be build out of either 2"x3" or 2"x4" rectangular tubing. Four swivel casters will allow it to be moved as needed, and when set up it will stand on 6 - 2"x2" tubing legs with leveling feet.
Each of the mounting brackets/supports will be made from 2"x2" square tubing and have 2"x1/4" 'feet' that will get clamped to the top of the main frame .
