As of 11-21-24. 2x4x3/16 at 20ft is $155 at my local supplier in southeast US. Figure $3-400 in material. Cheap insurance in my book.. especially if u got frame rails, rockers or torque boxes to replace..

Are the dimensions the same for 65/66?

Yes actually

I would still recommend building it for the specific car though

Hey, really enjoy the videos. Keep them coming. I have a 67 Mustang I’m working on and have to replace all the frame rails and torque boxes so if I build a frame jig like you guys did get it all level and then add an additional adjustable cross member with support rails that will fit the pinch welds so that I don’t have to have it bolted to the frame to keep it level. Will that work.

Should, kinda hard to picture. but just make sure once its braced, dont move it

team chris ts are da bomb. now are them measurements the same for all first gen ?
@lostsocketgarage2 жыл бұрын
The measurements should work for 67 and 68. We think the measurements for 65 66 69 are different. And incorrect, pop tarts are da bomb

I am looking for info on how to create a datum line, so I can level my ‘68 Coupe on my garage floor for a Fastback conversion? Any proven methods would be greatly apprectiated? Thanx

Do different makes and models require their own frame jigs, or can one be used for all?
@lostsocketgarage Жыл бұрын
Thanks for following along. Yes they will be different based off of wheelbase and many other factors.

Love the channel. I'm trying to restore a 67 mustang and are going to have to replace the front clip because of rust , Where can I find all the diminutions to put the front frame rails back in spec?
@lostsocketgarage2 жыл бұрын
Really there is no real source that we are aware of that has all the measurements, but we can take some measurements for you possibly. Follow us on insta and FB and dm us and we can work something out

Awesome video! I had a question about the fastback conversion. If the floor is in the vehicle does it need to be off the ground? I know this might be a silly question but I’ve seen a couple videos where the wheels was on the ground while doing the conversion but I did notice the floor was in. So just a little confused
@lostsocketgarage2 жыл бұрын
The floor does give a bit of structure however not enough in our eyes. We always make sure the car is braced and leveled before we start chopping stuff off. Easiest way to level it is with screw stands and off the ground.

@@lostsocketgarage how would the jig be adapted for 69 70 jig?..
@frankhoward969211 ай бұрын
Can you make me one for a 68? I'm really having problems with my Mustang gtcs. I have no reference points as the car had tremendous weight reduction from cancerous rust.
@lostsocketgarage11 ай бұрын
You could buy a pre-made jig from auto twirler or jegs?
