Building a High Chair! Thank you to CLCKR for sponsoring this video. Check them out at bit.ly/clckr_f... and save 25% with offer code: FOUREYES25
In this video I'm building a prototype of a high chair for our son. Now, you may not need a high chair, but everything I'm doing here is pretty applicable to a regular chair. Milling wood, template routing, cutting joinery, cutting a seat dish, and lots of other woodworking goodness

Just started out in hobby woodwork to exercise my arthritic hands so I'm doing almost everything by hand. I used your high chair design as inspiration and then scaled it to fit my existing Ercol furniture ( I'm in the UK). I then drew out the design on cardboard before transferring each element to MDF. I took particular care to cut out each MDF template element and then fitted them together to ensure the mating faces were congruent. I'll stick each template onto oak boards and use a DIY bandsaw follower to get close-cut parts. I'll use a router follower to finish each element to its final size. The joints will be dowelled as I'm still a newbie. Thanks for the inspiration and hopefully my new grandson Arthur will enjoy the chair when he visits with his parents.

I’ll say it again... I LOVE all the illustrations. It really helps me follow along. Design and seeing how things will go together has been something I’ve always struggled with. Also, I love how methodical you are about everything. You really seem to take your time making sure everything is just right. A true craftsman.

@@Foureyes.Furniture You still make great videos but for the DIY man that is siting in front of the TV after work and watching you make amazing stuff with expensive tools it's a bit discouraging. The charm of a man in the garage making art is more appealing and creative. It will be nice to make some furniture art the old way the simple way the hard way 😁 and inspire tha regular weekend DIY to go in the garage and make someting 😁 You inspired me to start thinking outside the box and wanting to make interesting furniture in my backyard with tools that i both in my local hardware store thanks for that 😊
