Can we all take a moment to enjoy the fact that in the Pokédex screen the sprites are even animated! (Maybe tweened….?) The loops are so smooth and it’s just fun to watch the lil fakemon bob up and down as their entries are read.

I'd be surprised if people thought that WASN'T tweening, lmfao. "No, they just perfectly animated the same dimensions and perspective being distorted with 100% consistency by hand!" And once you understand basic animation it's kind of more preferable if they were just standing there as a still image. It gives me that "pulled out of the illusion by laziness" feeling like when anime uses CGI for things like hands playing instruments or just the entire animation.

It's so wild to me that you refer to this like it's a filler video as you work on the Pikachu one, but you designed and fully rendered three entire evolutionary lines (you were given a basis, but still), gave them little simple animations and Pokedex entries, and then have some more fully-realized drawings during the credits as them as Sonic characters, just as a bonus.

Plaguepourii is my favorite fanmade pokemon ever. idc about how many other people think plague doctor spritzy evolution is this or that, THIS ONE IS PERFECT and would be an instant perma member of my teams. Subscribed, absolutely. you never have to do another one of these again, but seeing you go through the drawing process for this has cemented the fact that I wanna see more of your art, period.

One thing I've been impressed with since finding your channel is the extra 'polish' that goes into everything. You didn't JUST design those electric Eeevees, you also created a kickass splash art for it too. And here, not only did you create interesting and unique concepts for these randomised pokemon, ypu then went on to animate them! These extra steps just add so much to the process and I find it incredibly impressive.

It looks like the two little red dots are eyes and it’s in a cloak, like it’s wearing a pink bird corpse. Especially with the way it like sways uncannily in the Pokédex entry tweening. nonono but the Spritzy being a plague doctor and following around nurses works so well as their scent could be likened to smelling salts and then Plauepuri having black parts could also be not only be likened to plague doctor garbs but to crows and ravens which not only are spooky birds but are also known for their intelligence they can even be taught to speak not to mention that crows are also seen as harbingers of death and are thought to know when an animal or person is sick and dying, you also say that them smelling nice can be linked to plague doctors keeping scent bags and smelling salts in their masks to mask the smell of the patients they would visit. It's just such a good idea and I love corvids and spooky pokemon it's just such a good design I would definitely add them to my team (fun fact corvids (the family crows and ravens belong to) are known to hold funerals for other corvids and will mourn for their loved ones as they are very sociable and caring birds)

OMG these are all so COOL!! I wasn't expecting to see the return of the luxray line, so it was really cool to see this design come to life! I'll admit he's my favorite. The eye markings make me think of eldritch angel designs, and I am here for it! (Also I think it's cool you're taking your time on the pikachu vid, and that it's becoming more of a passion project.
