These are like the most creative and complex pikmin types I have ever seen! I don’t see these guys affectively working within the mainline games (their designs are far too complex to have like 100 of them on the field and the other types mixed in) but I would love to have these little fellas to have their own little game or something

when i was younger, i designed green pikmin with glowing eyes and a dandelion for a flower that would help to illuminate areas :) i also did a brown pikmin type that were especially good at building bridges/breaking gates that lived in a level-specific burrow structure kinda like the lumignolls. I had a similar ish idea to your prairie pikmin of pikmin with claws, but for climbing instead of digging! though i had it still plantlike, giving them spines like on a venus fly trap (and mouths to match! maybe instead of climbing they could just be super aggressive at combat). Designing pikmin is super fun, and I think most new type ideas would work best like white and purple where they are trickier to get.

Those are great pikmin type ideas! I like how they have flowers that are different from the standard you see on pikmin. 😊 And yeah creating/designing new Pikmin types is super fun. Always interesting to see what everyone comes up with. ✨️

To make it a bit more balanced, here are some changes and new proposals: SPORE PIKMIN - Spore pikmin can only stick on regular enemies, to make it not so useful against bosses. - You may only have 3 possessed enemies in your squad. If another sp tries to possess another enemy when you already have 3, it just instakills the enemy instead. NEW GREEN PIKMIN: SLIME PIKMIN (Pea pikmin are just peashooter ripoffs) - They take a bit more effort to be shaken. Takes 3 shakes to be shaken off. - It applies a slowing effect to enemies attacked which make enemies walk and attack slower. - They may merge to become bigger. This adds 10% power to their ability's effects onto enemies, but become slower.

The esential colours in my opinion are: Brown, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Red, Pink, White, Gray, Black with the optionals being Lime, Indigo, and Violet. Lime would be an esential but, unlike orange which we think of the fruit being named after the colour, we say "lime green" because Lime is named after the fruit. Indigo and Violet are distinct to each other but both pretty close to Purple and don't really do their own thing seperate to red or blue. Tan can also be added but it's a weird colour that can be created by desaturating any of the warm colours. That would make like 16 different pikmin before you start running out of unique colours but we have the glow pikmin who provides the option of every pikmin having a night variant. 32 pikmins. Later you could also add metalic pikmins like gold, silver, bronze, and platinum 36, potentially 48. Adding pastel pikmin would be sily though so I think that's the maximum possible pikmins.

These are all great points! Yeah that's why belive Nintendo started naming the pikmin after traits rather than color to leave it open for them to make new pikmin types in the future that may or may not have similar colors to pikmin that already exist in the series.

I feel like the pod and pea pikmin are really cool but a nerf might be necessary such as the pod pikmin has like ammo it can't use all of its pea pikmin or else it'll decrease in size. I can imagine a pod pikmin of 3 would decrease to a pod of 2 when it shoots out one pea pikmin, that would make it a bit more fair and it encourages conservativeness.

I agree, yeah them having an ammo mechanic will also encourage strategy for the player when using them, like when going into caves.

Wow these pikmin types are so cool! They open up a world of new possibilities for new enemies and environments. It would be super interesting to see how Enemies react to the possessed version of their own kind. Also for spore pikmin once the parasitic relationship is in affect, is there any undoing it? If not, how does the onion react to those pikmin who are now infused with enemies? I think my favorite are the pea Pikmin, especially the one jumping out of the frame of the drawing lol 🫛

4:33 I feel like this pikmin is to OP. The puffstool got nerfed already. It can literally just make a brand new pikmin. Can’t be shakes off (extremely overpowered). Actually just kills the enemy no matter what 7:21 he costs 100 sun. The zombies are coming, also my guy is literally evolving. Also you shouldn’t make it have more made with a seed. 12:19 Dang I made a slug cat idea for rain world and they could do the same thing. Also they’re both brown, both have claws. @@izzleinksyeah it was a real disappointment! honestly expected bulbin to come back too! but alas. if you included them i'd say puffmin are the tertiary between red and purple and bulbmin are (the closest we have to) orange (though their leaf does shine dark green)

Yeah, I was also quite surprised that bulbmin was absent as well. And then Glow pikmin pretty much replaced them, being immune to all hazards. So I'm actually kinda worried about bulbmin, lol. Hopefully, they will come back with new mechanics.

The Pod Pikmin only shoot Pea Pikmin. My initial thought was that they can't fight in combat like the Pea pikmin can. However they can shoot Pea pikmin dealing extra damage. They would of course be able to carry and build bridges and stuff.

These are great! I like the prairie Pikmin, but I feel they are step too far to feel like a Pikmin still visually. I think I’m just very used to the neutral and vague appearance where just being furry is enough to distinguish them
