for the part where you're talking about how to stand out, and what to do next, i have some advice. i've been an artist for most of my life (i'm 32, so probably 28-ish years, since i've been drawing as long as i can remember), and something that can happen is you get a lot of success very quickly after spending a long time getting no attention at all, and what it can do is drive you to want to chase that feeling of getting lots of attention. there is nothing inherently wrong with it, it's just that you have to keep in your heart what it is you're passionate about, and why you make the things you make. you've probably heard this spiel before, but the reason people are always saying it is because it's true. the other thing i want to say is that we are all already individuals. you stand out by unashamedly being yourself and what you have fun with. that sounds super corny, but it's true. caring about what you're doing comes through in what you make. it can be soul sucking to dump hours and hours of work into making things you don't care about for the sake of keeping others' attention. sometimes, trends will change and those who aren't interested in getting invested in your personality will move on. it doesn't make you a failure. the people who really care about what you make because it came from You will stick around. i say all this from experience. in the phases of my life where i allowed by desire for attention to usurp my love of what i was doing, i burned out REALLY hard. i spent a whole year burned out, feeling like i would never love to draw again, and it happened twice. two years of my life down the toilet and i had to learn why it happened the hard way. i think we all end up going down the hard route whether we mean to or not (and who really means to?), just by nature of not really knowing what our limits are, or what we want from the art we make. and your youtube videos are a type of art! anyway i'm really sorry about rambling, this sort of thing is something i care a lot about. it's like, i know exactly what you mean. i know exactly how it feels to languish in obscurity hoping someone will recognize what it is you want to share, and care about it. maybe it's not that deep though lol!!

Hi Veteran! Your first episode popped up in my recommended feed by the algorithm. I also have no clue how I would get to enjoy seeing somebody playing a beta version of Minecraft but here we are. I do think, what makes you stand out is the chill vibe of your voice mixed with the very simple gameplay from the beta version. There is this nostalgic gloomy vibe that we only find in older versions of the game, and your voice and speech reminds me of simpler times. Pretty nostalgic. Overall seeing you play is just a relaxing soothing moment bringing hints of nostalgia and eeriness here and there. I find this pretty unique, and that is why I kept watching. Congratulations and please keep up !

How’s it going Veteran? :’) Dude, this is probably one of my favorite mc series on youtube ever. No over the top reactions every 2 seconds, just chill content. Keep it up! I have one totally random tip for building roofs- if you want the front sides to look a bit “cleaner” you can use to stairs extend the roof one block farther than the front of the building, then use stairs on the underside (or slabs in earlier versions) of those ones to make it look polished. Honestly though that’s a preference thing, do wtv you wanna do

Veteran : ) When it comes to distinguishing yourself from the average minecraft youtuber, I would just say to not worry too much over it. I'm sure that as long as you continue to do what you enjoy doing, people will follow. A lot of youtubers get sucking into the endless cycle of doing the next biggest thing, like "Surviving 100 days" turns into "Surviving 1000 days" or "Surviving the Apocalypses for 100 days" and all of their videos are just the same things. While this content is profitable, I don't see many of the youtubers who do it being very connected with their fans. At that point they've pretty much locked themselves into the click-train that is longform challenge videos. If any channel that relies so heavily on that type of content ever wanted to switch it up and do something else, they would see a massive drop-off in views because their audience wasn't there for them, but for that specific type of video. I subbed to you when you had maybe 15 or so subscribers (Not too long ago really, haha). I think it was when you started your first better than adventure series. I subscribe because I enjoyed your personality and that hasn't changed. Stay true to yourself and I believe you will do great.

@@MinecraftVeterans I also miss when most KZbinrs were much more authentic about themselves, I think another era like that will come because a collective trend that has 1000+ KZbinrs doing the same thing only lasts so long and I’m starting to see a rise in more authentic KZbinrs so I think there might be another era similar to 2013-2015 Minecraft KZbinrs though I’m not sure because anything can happen real fast

Hey man! Little advice for what to do: make videos you want to make. In case you think you might get bored of Minecraft, switch up the content. Many people made the mistake of focusing solely of one type of content. Then they get a little sick of it but can’t really change up their content without suffering a view drop since that’s not what most people subscribed for. But if you branch out early you will get an audience that knows you don’t do just one type of content, and while you will still have more views on certain videos than others, that’s just how it goes.
