So funny, right before Julia says that she is full of crap, those were the very words I was thinking. Sometimes diplomacy is sooo overrated, let them have it in plain, simple language. It avoids any misunderstandings.

Julia certainly DID hold it in as long as she could: just imagine; your son's Crypt Keeper lover twice his age sitting up in YOUR living room/ conference area in her kimono robe and silk negligee during business hours, no less - no M'am, Sam would that EVER be okay for the length of time Julia tried to be diplomatic to that...thing. In high school in the mid 1970s a very good-looking Italian-American (redundant, I know) teacher was dating a couple of legal age seniors and he wound up getting fired for it. Even at college level, a school campus should never be viewed by instructors as a large and convenient dating pool. Imagine this woman or any male professor having brazen flings with 20 or 22 year old students in today's word. Not only would there be lawsuits and protests but every commentor on social and main stream media would lose their crap about it.

I can't decide whether this episode was against older woman/younger man relationships or whether it was saying the young man should be trusted to know what he is doing in dating the older woman. Primmie totally messed up in trying to put a wedge between Julia and her son. Any wise woman knows that when her boyfriend/husband occasionally is a jerk, her mother-in-law is her greatest ally that will straighten him out

Really? Imagine you’re a college age male - with all the ego and silliness-- and then imagine a woman flinging herself at him who’s “eloquent like my mother” and you’ve got the recipe for that whole dynamic of: People date someone who resembles their parent (Daughters tend to be attracted to men who are like their father stoic, for example)
