@myleerose318666 жыл бұрын
A suggestion for anyone who has difficulty with that first stitch after turning.. when you come to the end of the row, chain one and BEFORE you turn you work put your hook in that 1st stitch turn and complete stitch.So much easier than realizing many rows later your work has become one stitch narrower.

@DesignsbyPhanessa2 жыл бұрын
it's hard to say because it depends on your tension and these ribbings have different stretch. The rule of thumb i use is SL ST: 3 sts for every 4 rows of ribbing SC ST: 1st for every row HDC: 3 sts for every 2 rows.

Hi. I'm a bit confused about the HDC method. After a row of SC, we chain two and turn over. Then should I HDC into the second back loop from the hook or the first back loop? Because at 8:26, you inserted your hook into the second chain.
@DesignsbyPhanessa2 жыл бұрын
Follow the chain 1 stitch. The very next “v” you see is the first stitch. Work into the back loop of that stitch. Good luck!

There is a fourth way that's in between two and three. I'm not sure what it's called. Instead of doing half double, you yarn over. Insert your hook through the back loop. Then grab a loop and pull it through the two loops that are on on the hook. I am not sure what this is called it makes a very stretchy fabric also. I think someone called it maybe a double slip stitch through the back loop. Cool video thank you for showing me all these. I forgot about the first one that once a tighter stretchy fabric looks just like a stocking it stitch. For knitting but it's stretchy
