So haven't finished it yet!!! Love the redesigns (and interested to see how they'd look on mobile and fully-fleshed out, although that's another video entirely). I'm on the second one and have some thoughts. 1. A call to action should have one verb - 'click to schedule' is too wordy and too much text when it could just be 'Reserve Now'. 2. I love the idea of the bold statement - it's unique and really punches!!! 3. maybe use an off-black, instead of black. 4. Rather than simply fading up only half way, go from 100% at the bottom to 20% in the middle and continue to 20% at the top - this is a great opportunity to use a darker accent colour in the background and reinforce the brand over the picture, plus, if you do this as an overlay on your other pictures too, it'll feel like they all connect a bit more across a website!!! 5. I love the shading but I feel like the gradient on the button simply uses too much of the grey and makes it feel more like those crappy landing pages people try to sell than a reputable company. 6. LOVE the arrow pointing to the button and using the gaze in the photo to bring attention down!!!

My problem with these redesigns are they only redesign the hero. It’s just not practical for designers to learn when there’s holes in the workflow. Where is the rest of the site? What about the other pages that need to be redesigned?
@NiandragonsАй бұрын
Yes, Id be interested in this too! How would you redesign the lower part of these home pages?
@stijns96Ай бұрын
Yup, although you need some creativity for the hero, the hardest part is actually the rest of the site most of the times

(I think) in the 3rd design, We don't need a redesign for that the old one looks awsome. only one thing that we need to change the white color to like cuting board color (brown color in the body) and head needs to be light classic looking light brown or dark yellow In the website 2 & others: I think we need color paddles I like to see a blend of skeumorphthic and neuromorphthic designs in the same page. It would be perfect The last website 4 design is beautiful i love it ❤ But in my opinion it Need a gradient (with black tire spots) red color paddle i think if you add it to the half of texts in the body of the website (landing pages - head title) Anyway, Hey a new subscriber to you

Using too many fonts might be overwhelming for a relatively new designer. Try using one or not more than two fonts in your design. KISS is the best way when thinking about typography.

Indeed, these are two different jobs, as a dev, I am extremely bad at anything design related and know for a fact I won't be able to have the same creativity as a professional designer. I will be able to reproduce the design by coding and this is my job. People need to understand that if there is almost always a designer and a dev for a website it's for a reason, no employer would pay twice the price for the same result.
@user-zj6iz1rl8d28 күн бұрын
@@kaasman5386 also takes 50x more time, and unneccessary if you just want template, being able to use different tool is what a good developer is about why create something from scratch when you do wireframing first. but yes coding is much cooler but also much tedius.

Thanks for the video! I appreciate how you tackle redesigns across various types of websites with different purposes. However, I feel that the redesigns focus too much on aesthetics rather than on functionality, inclusivity, or mobile responsiveness. The heavy use of shadows and images, while visually appealing, seems to hinder readability and makes the sites resemble posters rather than functional, user-friendly designs. It may look good in a thumbnail, but in terms of real-world usability, I think it compromises navigation and accessibility, especially for users with disabilities or different browsing needs. A more balanced approach to UI/UX could make the designs more effective for all users. I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I’d love to see more designers move away from overly image-heavy, gallery-style layouts and focus on creating more informative, text-driven websites. It would make the internet easier to navigate and reduce the prevalence of clickbait. Plus, having more text over images can improve SEO and help people find the services or information they need without having to scroll through large hero sections that take up an entire page.

I don't wanna be mean or make my self understood wrong but redisign a website landing page in figma it's just an example of a view of how would you like to make it more in 2024, but there is a problem adding all this changes even if it's build it with an builder or it's a custom website, you must rewrite the logic betwen the way you view on different devices also to rewrite the logic of the meniu.Somehow,most of times when remake a design it's like remake it from 0

@Michael-kq3qm24 күн бұрын
Yeh it's easy when in figma to drag and drop things in place, but make that design "real" and it's not so easy. There are a plethora of screen sizes to take into consideration, and copy doesnt always fit in perfect boxes that the designer would like to think. Figma isn't web design, its just graphic design.

Generally, websites are built in two main stages: design and development. Designing a website means creating a high-fidelity mock-up that a developer can use to code the website or build it with a no-code tool like WordPress, Webflow, etc. In this video, I’m redesigning a single section of a viewer’s website using Figma (a design software, not a development tool) to give them a direction for redeveloping their website.
