This is an autobiography of Obaidullah/Surjeet Singh. In 1947, Obaidullah was only 2 and a half years old. He was left behind when his father was struggling to save his life. A Sikh family adopted him and his name was changed to Surjeet Singh. He brought up by that Sikh family like their own child. After the death of the couple Joginder Singh and Basant Kaur, Surjeet Singh had come to know that he is an adopted member of the family. Later on, his maternal uncle brought him to Pakistan. The story is more interesting than a movie.
Through KZbin and personal dedication, Desi Infotainer is preserving the stories of those who experienced the violence of Partition and helping families to reconnect.
We travel from village to village to collect these stories. we believe that there is a sea of forgotten tales which should be discovered.

Yes, absolutely right, same sentiments n feelings here. Indeed it was very difficult for me to control my tears. In May 2024, i visited Gurdwara Punja Sahab, Hasanabdal, Pakistan n Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur, Pakistan to make special Dua for my ailing Sikh friend in Canada. He is seriously ill n i thought appropriate to visit the holy places of Baba Guro Nanak to make special Dua for quick recovery of his health. If anyone from Sikh family desired than i can share very good pictures of my visit of both holy places of Sikh religion. We love our Sikh Sisters n Brothers. Pak Sikh Friendship Zindabad.❤

This is such a heart warming but yet sad true story of Obaid Ullah son of Sardar Muhammad. Partion in 1947 had hundred of such stories on both sides of the border. No one had ever thought the journey to freedom will be so hard n testing. Thousands of people unfortunately died, their sacrifices can never be forgotten. Salute to our leaders n elders who sacrificed their lives for an independent Pakistan. The best part of the story is Sikh family took good care of the boy n raised him like their real son. Obaid Ullah reached back n met his mother, brothers, sisters n had anormal Life. Thanks for sharing.
