Song was huge in eastern europe. Im polish and 29, and to this very day whenever we throw a party like my parents and uncles we hear voyage voyage 36 times. Its not a eastern european part until you hear voyage voyage, alphaville and modern talking over and over again 👀😂😂😂😂😂

Hmm, I think the song sounds VERY ABBA as far as the music goes- obviously the vocal of Murray Head is very different than Agnetha and Frida, but, the backing vocals sound very ABBA to me. The version of the song with the orchestral intro is really cool.

Later this song was international and thanks to this song, people are willing to learn French. I recommend you other old French songs to react : "Les demons de minuit" 1987 by Paroles, " Boule de Flipper" 1986 by Corynne Charby and " Aviateur" 1988 by Verónique Jeanut. 5 weeks at no.1 in germany 1987 ( went gold here), most successfull song of the year 1987 in Switzerland. they are still playing it lots of times on german radio. one of only 3 songs in french who made it to no.1 in germany ( beside Ella, elle l´la by France Gall and Alors on dance by belgium singer Stromae.)

This doyenne Desireless (real name Clio) has always shared the Love, the spirituality, the wellbeing and the happiness in her music. She is an absolute illuminating Star in how she lives her life. Over four years ago I posted her song "Hari Om Ramakrishna" on my YT channel, a song I had always loved her lyrics to so much so that I made a careful translation myself of her french lyrics into english in that song's video description (I grew up in _La Belle France_ ). Lo and behold Clio absolutely blew me away by personally commenting under the video thanking me for the translation. Here in New Zealand when we say something or someone is "The bomb" then that is our utmost compliment given. Well, this lady is the absolute bomb. Wow, I didn't know this song was in french.. In all over Latin America, this song was a Huge Huge hit in Spanish, called, "Vuela Vuela" by a boy band called Magneto in the 90s..Wow.. enjoying your videos.

I LOVE that you found this song.... I thought it was 87 i'm sure I was 15 at the time. I had to go to an import cassette tape store in Vancouver's Chinatown to find this Euro music, it was fun! Hopefully you have checked out Fancy and Modern Talking? Take care cutie!
