Abba Father, in agreement with all words in this message, I declare pleasure will not be an idol in my life, in the name and blood of Christ, putting pleasure as an idol under the feet of Christ, amen and glory to Yah! Annelies Bakker, the Netherlands.

Thank you for those words, it's never come across my mind that I've placed ungodly pleasures as an idol in my life despite passively and actively chasing it.

When you find the true pleasure God has in store for you, which is he Himself, everything else that is not from God is just totally ridiculous. Once you tasted God, you will not want to be anywhere else. Seek God! He created you, he knows what's best. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in to all truth. God bless!

WOW!!! I love this video. I've never seen God in this light before. Wow!!! Amazing analogy. I also love the explanation between God and sex. First of all I never knew the significance of a kiss after sex and to compare that significance to God, mind blowing. Thank you and God continue to Bless you.

A very powerful message pastor John, thank you. And thank you God for everything that is done for your glory is good for us, harmless and makes us grow in Christ. I totally agree with this explanation, and demonstration, because I remember the kind of life I had in the world, where you pursuit your own selfish pleasure, as if you were a god. These kind of answers, pastor John, are so biblical, so meaningful 🙌 They bring healing. Thank you Holy Father for your daily precious powerful bread, in the name of Jesus 🙏

Amen! Great question and answer. It is so common fo us as church members or church musicians or church leaders to be "worshiping worship or worship music" instead of worshiping the Lord. One is idolatry, the other is love of God. We are told to "delight yourselves in the Lord" not "delight yourselves".

We Can Find Pleasure in the Things that God Gives us! Good Food..Good nights rest..Good people..Good entertainment..Good Work..whatever talents God Gave us. Etc.etc. Every person Knows what is Right for themselves..If they don't get messed up with other people's Shoulds.

Sorry but this is not really pertaining to the video (I would think), but I don’t have time to watch the video. Anyways, what could I respond to a friend telling me that the idea of a “heaven” or some blissful afterlife, is just the fear or reluctance to believe that after death, nothing happens. Thinking about it, I could respond with, “your reluctance to believe in a Christian God, is just out of the not wanting to live a life of Christian principles.” Or something like that idk. But I feel this doesn’t really counter his claim.. so what could I say that does so?
@--i-am-root4 жыл бұрын
This can be easily flipped on its head. Does the belief in nothingness after death come from the fear or reluctantce to believe in an all powerful God who judges righteousness?

BravoBear Keep the conversation on this planet. Appeal to him by offering facts. Here are the only two claims of fact that I have found to be irrefutable. #1. We all want soundness of mind...one that is not moved by the whims of men or the eventualities of life. #2. Our minds and bodies are not designed to absorb the effects of condemnation on any level. These two facts apply to every person on the planet. I know they don’t seem relevant to the topic on the table, but believe me, they are! Think about and ponder these statements carefully, there’s a reason why Jesus spent 33.5 years teaching them. Offer them to your friend as an inquiry and see how he responds. I would be very interested to hear his response if you are willing to share. Thank you!

How do you get to that point of loving and seeing God ? You have to be born again for that right ?
@HP-jz9jd4 жыл бұрын
Cry out to God and ask Him to reveal Himself to you in such a way that He becomes precious to you. We often treasure our own sin more than God, but only He is worthy of our love. Born again means that someone has been regenerated by God to love Him, turning away from his/her sin and placing his/her trust in Jesus for his/her salvation

Everyone settle in. Piper has a lifetime of fun facts, antidotes, quizzes, obscure questions, speculative arguments, quotable quotes, games, etc.etc.etc. All of which lead to nowhere. On the next vid he will be asking the question...should Christians feel guilty for farting on elevators with others on board? Guarantee he’s got a scripture for that too!
@loganfeller67374 жыл бұрын
By your own argumentation that you just used, you said nothing... So, let me say "nothing" to you in return. You follow PJP around on KZbin like a spoiled child. You constantly break eggs, but you never make anything with them. Your words never carry any weight, because you only ever speak on your own authority (which has never established). So, keep slinging mud at him, none of it is sticking...

Hear God's Word I DO like these videos..better than watching T.V. If Jesus we’re still here you wouldn’t like him either. Guarantee he would be doing the same thing....refuting legalism.
