Today is April 28, 2023. And on this day, let us pray for those struggling with choices.

That overlap between the kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world Pastor John discusses is where we really need to be walking in the light of the Lord so we can see light. There is a minefield there and we will blow off our legs without God's help navigating the overlap. It is so easy to get sucked into the fringe area just outside in the Babylonian system of our western culture, including the political, social and economic aspects of it all.

John, where do you draw the line when government requires things that violate God given autonomy of our bodies (informed by/within scripture context), ie mandates such as vaccines? I have yet to see where anyone addresses whether there is room in this passage for “civil disobedience” can you help?

Acts 4:19,20 and again, the next day, Acts 5:28,29 ESV "28 saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us.” 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men." When there is direct conflict between God's Word on one side and the rulers of the world on the other . . . . . we as Christians study the Word and obey it ! †
