Why do you think Christianity is true?

One of the reason I think Christainity is true is the sheer amount of hate it gets, you would not waste time hating something you know isn't true and Jesus said he would be hated so he was right.

Surely another reason is that we as Christians also experience the Lord tangibly for ourselves by His Holy Spirit. He is very real to me in ways that are impossible to articulate in words.

i am not a big fan of apologetics. you cant prove the existance of God or the bible - that is the point. to be honest the entire concept sounds very crazy. i am an extremely intelligent human being - almost perfect sat scores and ace anything i attempt and very logical and sane. for many years i was a huge atheist and totally against christianity especially. it is not until recently that i see my motivations for disliking it so much. but todays world is different. in the old days people didnt have access to information so those in power told them whatever would keep them under control. they especially used religion to control the masses. but now anyone can learn whatever they want via books and internet. many of us are not smart enough to put together an ikea bedroom set, yet we read the discoveries of great thinkers and scientists on subjects like evolution, and now all the sudden so many people think they know it all and are too "smart" to believe in God. i was that way. we all have limits to our knowledge and often its like that saying lost in the forest and cant see the trees or whatever. but there came a point in my atheist living where my knowledge and wits could not help me. i did the unthinkable. i tried praying to this God that i swore i didnt believe in. i tried reading His word. let me tell you - He showed up! im talking about real miracles, changes in my life, an opening of my eyes. for example i went from having liver cancer to having no trace of cancer in 2 weeks with no medical treatment. the doctors couldnt explain it. i have the paperwork, so that is just one of the many proofs of God in my life. but you dont need my proof and neither does God. He is a big God. now may not be your time but remember this post. if you ever get to a point where you dont know what to do, call on Him. He is real and He loves atheists just as much as christians. He will leave 99 of us to go help one of you figuratively speaking. dont rely on us christians to lead you to God as we are very imperfect and many christians still dont even understand that it is not a works based relationship with God but one based on love, grace and mercy so the last thing we should ever do is judge another person or think we are better. but when that time comes in your life when you need God, go to Him. be real with Him. read the bible. He doesny always give us what we want but often when we are at our lowest point, He knows we need to be restored and that we need hope, and He will show up in a tangible way. and to any christians on here speaking rudely to athiests and nonbelievers - remember there was a time when we all didnt believe. now that we know, that doesnt give us the right to judge others who are just like we were and could find Jesus andthey could enter heaven before us so respect them. the last shall be first - remember the parable of the workers who started late and got the same pay. someone could hate christians all their life and find Jesus at 90 two seconds before they die and be just as we are. God calls everyone and does not desire that one should perish without knowibg Him

People, listen. God is calling you to great things and you will see a reality that is insane to others but your suffering will show you what Jesus endured. Sing in prison. Share the word with a friend. Receive the spirit of truth and be saved

Religion is like being in an empty room with no light looking for a cat that isn't there and shouting "I've found it".

Also, Paul and the disciple's had absolutely no reason to lie! They gained nothing by following Jesus in the worlds eyes. They were killed for their faith and suffered. If they were lying they would've back tracked at some point.

I cannot think that Muhammad, Joseph Smith, and L. Ron Hubbard are liars because of the great unquestioning faith their followers have for them.

we don't hate them, we hate what they do. We love the sinner, but hate the sin.

I don't understand anything but Jesus as my lord, The word has possessed me, it is in me and I cant rebuke this, I don't understand any other voice. I feel God when I read the Bible after I pray and seek salvation and understanding in Jesus name. I rejoice in the name of Jesus. I weep in prayer and I cant stop..Thank you God for your son Jesus..Amen.

I love Jesus Christ and I believe that He is Son of God, because He is PERFECT in every way. He is God because He showed us the perfect love. He made everything to make sense for us. I just can't explain it but my love for Jesus Christ and God is my ground for believing in Christianity. My faith is my love for God. It's not like I force myself to believe, but I naturally believe because I'm in love. it's hard for unbelievers to understand but that's why I believe it to be true.
