My conversion from spiritually dead reprobate to being one who is alive in Christ was rather dramatic. At the time of my conversion, I had never encountered references in the scripture pertaining to believers being crucified with Christ and dying. Still, I knew in the core of my being that I had died and that the person who remained was not the same person who died. When the scripture refers to death and rebirth (being born of the Spirit), God is not being poetic. Something very real happens to us and it is an amazing miracle of the triune God. The worship that pleases God most is a heart singularly focused on Him. How we started out was in complete aversion to God. Getting our needs met from the world. That sinful rebellious me died at salvation. Not completely yet though. Not till I see Christ in the heavens and become like Him. But the process is a type of death. Its my old self that's being reborn into a new self.

We are SO fortunate and blessed to yearn for YHWH'S WORD! I am humbled every day by YHWH'S LOVE and protection. With my present physical challenges, I can feel overwhelmed. I woke up before 3 am with bone pain. About 13 young racoons born early Spring were sesrching for food... I helped them out since they are YHWH'S creations as well. At least they didn't wake up my husband before 5 am. SHALOM!

1 John 4:13-21 ( Concluding Remarks) "13 I write these things to you who believe( trust) in the name of the Son of God( Jesus= Son of God) so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence :) we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he will hear us. 15 And if we know that he hears us- what ever we ask- we know that we have what we asked of him. 16 If anyone see his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those who sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. Hello, I hope you understood what Paul is saying here; Christians are at one and the same time dead, and alive forever and forever. Our "old selves" are already dead and so we are told to stop acting in our "old" manner. At the same time we, our " new selves" , are already alive and will be forever, in Christ. Jesus said we will never taste actual death, which is separation from God. God, in Jesus, has been so gracious to me and many others. May He be gracious to you if you truly call upon Him for salvation, He said He will not cast away anyone who comes to Him.
