One important thing about John 3:16 that the Christian world doesn’t put emphasis on is on the person who actually said the words of John 3:16, and that was Christ himself telling Nicodemus how much his Father loves the world( us). in minute 8:44 Jesus is praying for his already disciples, hence the distinction of the world in Jn. 17 does not imply that Jn. 3:16 is exclusive to the elect. Although I respect John Piper teaching, these are the things that is hard to overlook. It seems like his calvinistic views interfere with his exegesis of the text.

Looking into john 3:19 logic, God loves 'people', but people choose darkness. Therefore, I believe the word 'so' means 'so much'. Another arguement is that the word 'So' is placed after the word 'for'... if 'so' is placed before ' for', then pastor piper logic is precisely ok. But I am in agreement with pastor piper that God's way to love us is by sending His Son, to die in the cross for the forgiveness of sins...

Respectfully, we shouldn't look to the "logic" of John, we should look to exegesis of the greek and derive its meaning from there. The word that is translated as "so" in english, is actually the first term used in this verse. The greek word is οὕτως (houtos), which can also be translated as "thus" or "in this way", "in this manner".

I have a question regarding "love your enemies". What if someone would break into my house trying to rape and kill my family, should i just hug him and say "Yeah there you go, love you"? What can i do to protect those which i love, when i can't do anything against people trying to destroy them? It doesn't make sense at all.

Understand my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ if you have eyes to see. BELIVE means to except something as true. Remember that Jesus said he who believeth in me "MAY" "SHOULD" "SHALL" same things with the commandments. God never said "you will not steal" "you will not commit adultery" he says you SHALL not do these things if he were to say "will" then what God says is true therefore nobody would have never sinned. The book of jude explains this type of doctrine of once saved always saved. And when he says if you love me keep my commandments understand that love is proven by action according to Jesus. He does not just say if you love me the believe in my existence. He makes it clear that love is proven by actions. Its not just only a feeling. Anyone who's reads this will have no excuse on the day of judgement. Luke 12:46 explains how Jesus will put us in the portion of unbelievers if we are not prepared for him. Revalation 2:5 explains how Jesus will remove our candle stick if we don't repent. To believe in Jesus means to belive in who he is and what he teaches. He came on this earth as a teacher and as a sacrifice. Please do not give up on the faith because you might not believe that you are able to finish the race because you may think its impossible. Do not give up!!! There is a difference between being saved and finishing the race and having eternal life. Please my brothers and sisters do not give in to these once saved always saved teachings. You will receive greater damnation, for you now know the truth.

Once saved always saved? This is a false doctrine. Why? Because this gives people an excuse to use the grace of God to sin. Did not Jesus say every tree that bares not good fruit is cast into everlasting fire? Mathew 7:19? And in 1 Corinthians 9:27 Paul explains that he must practice what he preaches lest he be a cast away. You might ask "why are you teaching a works based salvation then?" Understand this if you have eyes to see. When Paul said we are saved by grace through faith not of works we must break this down and observe it. Now as we know faith without works is dead right? But let's look at the word saved. Does this mean eternal life? No. This just means saved from our sins which causes us to go to Hell and when pauls said not of works Understand that this means that no works you do can get you into heaven without the faith of Jesus because he is the savior and not yourself. He died for your sins and not you but when you sin you need to immediately repent and ask for forgiveness because if you continue to sin and willfully and only praise God on sundays you become lukewarm and you can see what happens to lukewarm Christians in revalation. Without holiness noone will even see the LORD. Understand that Jesus never came to abolish the law but instead he compliments it. Yes the rituals and sacrifices are no longer needed because of Jesus. The new covenant is not only grace and you can do whatever you want and still get to heaven GOD forbid anyone thinks like that. Do not trample on the blood of Jesus because many Christians are in Hell for denying Jesus and not knowing him. Jesus even says "why do you call me lord and do not do what I say?" Trust in the blood and not in yourselves but not trusting in yourself does not mean that you have an excuse to reject holiness and righteousness. There's a difference between getting saved and having eternal life. Do you not know that if you say you believe in Christ yet walk in darkness you're a liar? And no liar has any inheritance in Gods kingom? So we must be a light for the world and not hypocrites. Yes we can loose our salvation by denying Jesus and not obeying him. Or what about the foolish virgins? They knew Jesus as Lord and yet he did not know them. Why? Because they were not preparing themselves to meet God as all of us Christians should be doing. They had no oil therefore had no light. This is spiritual light. What about the ones who don't forgive? They lost salvation. A person can believe in the Gospel get baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost bit if they fail to forgive they will not inherit Gods kingdom because God won't forgive them. You see why only believing is not enough? I'm not saying get to heaven by donating to the poor and and doing good works, I'm saying you need to repent and have a change in heart. Be born again. Because without it you can't see the kingdom of heaven. Have a change in nature. All things are new. Because if you say you believe and trust in the blood only yet live like the devil you got to observe yourself and ask if you really are walking on that narrow path. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, because many are called but few are chosen. Make every effort to walk on that narrow path. And do not boast in anything but give all glory to God because without him you are lost. Flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God, says Paul. He, or rather Jesus, who talked [?only] to him, does not say that the flesh will or will not inherit hell. And Jesus, while telling Paul what to write, does not reveal to him where he had placed or will place his hell; nor whether his hell will be real or supernatural. Strange, that Paul was not curious enough to ask God where he had placed-- or will place, in case he had not yet done so-- the hell. Does any cleric or believer ever think [in case they know that there is hell] what kind of hell Jesus made? ===== Evidence for God is everywhere, according to most believers. Is also evidence for the Satan everywhere? Or only in the Bible? But while rocks and cocks, etc., may or may not be evidence also for God, there is also evidence that God is not everywhere nor almighty. As long as just demons exists--and never mind an infinite number of other spooks--God cannot be almighty. Or he may be, but lets the spooks [nobody knows how many God made] spook countless number of people; most of which are followers of the NT God. But believe it or not, God did destroy a number of demons, but only once. At other times, Jesus just drives them out from people.
