I remember back then on MTV India Cyrus Broacha was saying how everyone he knew watched only about half of the movie before walking out. 😅 Most of Subhash Ghai's movies were weird, over-the-top jumbles, but fit in with the mindlessness of 1980s and 1990s Hindi movies. But then he didn't evolve with the times and that ended his hold over the box office. BTW, "Taal" also had Coca-Cola in it with an entire romantic scene built around drinking coke. Coke must've had an ongoing deal with Ghai or something.
