A buddy and I had a physics project in highschool where we needed to build something that used some kind of physics math. We built a fucking trebuche and launched bricks halfway across a football field using Home Depot materials and trash. Physics teacher loved it. The vice principal and guidance counselor wanted to suspend us for bringing a weapon to school. The principal and resource officer thought it was badass. We didn't get suspended, but we are the reason that "siege weaponry" is not allowed in the science olympiad anymore.

I did a chemistry project where we had to demonstrate a chemical reaction. I made a bomb, a small one but still a bomb. I didn't get into trouble from the teacher, he gave me an A+ for it (because i managed to make it a very "safe and controlled experiment"). one of my classmates snitched on me to the principle and I got suspended. He wanted to suspend me but the science teacher (who was literally the most qualified teacher in that school, to the point that he's the principle now) wasn't having it. Needless to say the snitch's reputation went down the drain. Unless someone is getting hurt and even then only physically, don't snitch, especially in high school.

I just recently had a barrel nut issue (not their fault, I ordered the wrong nut for their receiver) and they walked me through sorting that out as well. For about a six-eight month period in 2022 I would’ve said to buy anything except aero, but everything I’ve seen since has been great. I got the opportunity to talk to them about it and discovered they had to hire a new head of QC after those events… my pre-move lower has 65,000 rounds on it so I still tell people to get aero for upper, lower, buffer system, and barrels (and handgaurds if they like the look)

The "KZbin friendly pipe" is plenty lethal. In fact, it might be the most lethal. It's literally just a gun. And the birdshot penetrated plenty deep to kill. May not be a quick death, but it would be lethal. The dart just stabs you. Painful and bandaging would be recommended, but really only lethal if you're hit in the neck. The slingshot, depending on ammo, may not even breach the skin. Human skin is a lot tougher than we give it credit for. Tough enough that there are plenty of scenarios where you break a bone, but your skin is intact. Sure, the slingshot will certainly bruise, but I'm willing to bet many forms of ammunition would do little more. The ballistic gel test is impressive, but that's always assuming skin penetration because it's usually used to test guns, which have no problem with that. Furthermore, when something passes straight through someone, the wound will bleed a lot and be painful. But, a straight through shot can be more survivable than if the projectile stopped inside the target. The pipe, on the other hand, is definitely lethal. 1: It shoots bullets, little pellets we've perfected over decades to kill people. 2: As previously discussed, partial penetration can be more deadly than a shot going straight through. 3: The birdshot penetrated enough to cause heavy bleeding and would've shredded someone's intestines or stomach. 4: since there were several bits of shrapnel, it would take a long time to get it all out. During that time, it'd keep doing damage through lead poisoning and bleeding

You could have used nailgun blanks and improvised projectiles from Home Depot and still came in under budget.
