Watch this video again, and see how many time is there a run after the catch. It is because he can't throw. He fail to the third round because of ball placement. People were "mad" because he is a low ceiling QB, and they are choosing to start him over a 26 year old MVP.

@@greencat1849 So should the Eagles cut Hurts? He just took 51M a year, how come they have a team? Should KC cut Mahomes? CIN cut Borrow? Why are we the only team that can't afford a franchise QB? Seems odd that people seem to believe that if you pay your QB than your team is bad, but the team that just won the Super Bowl paid theirs'. Of the teams with the five best odds to win the super bowl, four out of five have highly paid franchise QB, either under contract, or about to get an extension this year.

@Metro Hemo Bc they established a team before extending him...also the Eagles have extra money from their deep playoff runs. Falcons don't. Eagles are also are losing 4-6 key players this year and have to hope their backups turn into viable options...and would be even more difficult to carry on a all around good team if they didn't draft as well as they have the past 3 years. You can be flexible with guarantee money and determining what years have higher pay to manipulate contracts to give yourself wiggle room early on. It's what the Cheifs did with Mahomes, and it's what Brady did with the Patriots. Burrow hasn't signed a large contract yet, so idk why you used him (he might later this year tho). And it's funny that you use the Eagles as your main argument...we don't know if they can continue deep playoff runs in the future with now having a huge QB contract, but look what they did with Hurts. They developed/stuck with him and were able to build a super team around him (bc of his former cheap contract) to get to that Superbowl. Falcons are trying to do the same thing, it's up to the coaching staff and Ridder now to improve.

Something literally just occurred to me watching this video. People keep saying oh he sucks because he didn’t get a single touchdown until the last game. Looking at this video makes me question that. Yeah he may got a touchdown but he got us all the way inside of the five several times. And why throw the ball at that point when we had a top 5 running game. At that point giving the ball to the running back and letting them punch in just made more sense and was the safer option. Look at Seattle Super Bowl if you doubt that

Another thing to look at is the weapons when he took over. Nobody threatened as a receiver deep, so he didn’t have the opportunities. He managed well with what he had. The fact that he was even throwing the ball that well is a good sign. Especially, since his biggest knock was his accuracy.

Intangibles. Ridder has it. He’s a natural leader. The knowledge of what he has to do out there will come. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t successful in 2023. Remember how disappointed he was when he didn’t get drafted in the first round. He’s going to play every game with a chip on his shoulder and I can’t wait.
