Don't worry, I know your child won't since they you, a parent who truly cares. If it's any comfort, as long as you care and listen to your child's needs, they won't grow into this monster. Things may get tough, but you can do it. As for Lionel, Autism is not his problem. I'm a high functioning Autistic adult who has a Master's in Psych. Even if he does have autistic traits, that's not the reason why he behaves this way. He absolutely has narcisistic and sociopathic tendencies. He has shown that he'd lie about anything and everything in his own defense. And given how often he calls people he dislikes as autistic I can only see two possibilities. He's lying about being autistic or he hates himself so much that he projects his own faults onto everyone around him.

Being autistic doesn't mean you'll turn out a psycho in any capacity. This freak may have other mental health issues as well that could be affecting his judgement, but again, even people with severe schizophrenia and other disorders can be medicated or treated and be functional members of society - or be placed in places where they aren't a danger to others. All this to say, if this guy is mentally sound enough to try to hide behind or even weaponize his mental illness for his own benefit, then his mental illness can't be used as an excuse.

I remembered the feeling of shame when I refused to do what men wanted of me. I remembered how it felt like I was at fault, that I was wrong for not giving into their whims. I remembered the fear and desperation that no one would ever love me if I didn't just learn how to "be a woman" that only focused on pleasing men sexually, romantically, and emotionally. I remembered sharing this fear with these men. I remembered how they didn't stop. I remembered becoming resigned to my role, that all the answers to my life lie in that path as long as I didn't think about how much it hurt. I remembered the moment I lost all anger and disgust and was left with nothing. I'm glad that others can see this and be angry and disgusted as if being awakened to the foul smell of decay in the air. I'm glad, and I'm glad that it drives people to act. I hold no sympathy, no remorse, no guilt, no vengeance, no wrath, no pity. I hold nothing for these abusers anymore. I've never known a world without that smell. So because Xeno's suit was a civil case and not a criminal case the punishment cannot include jail time (only a few states allow for criminal defamation suits but I don't remember which ones). However, for all the other shit he did the charges brought against him for those could very easily lead to jail time

The legal system is complex. I thought about making a video about this video talking about the legal side to it all. To sum it up. He defaulted on a civil case and owes money to xeno. However he also has criminal claims against him which he will need to defend against in court. Worst thing you can do is not show up and waste the courts time. Judges tend to not like that.

I mean I kinda agree don't send compromising pics of yourself over the internet but according to this video, lionel recorded video without permission on his own. This stuff happens IRL not even through online software, like ever heard of Paris Hilton? I don't think putting all security responsibility on girls/women is the answer. We need to hold creeps like this more accountable before this happens. Our youth need to understand they are not owed anyone else, and we need better mental health services to be freely available before things get out of hand, and our justice system needs to be updated to better deal with online crime like revenge prn.

Someone in the States, please enlighten me since I'm not from there and I'm not familiar with your laws, but isn't revenge porn illegal and an actual offense? How can he still walk around all freely??

You're completely right that its illegal, its just that cyber crimes really still arent taken at a level of seriousness as they should be here in the states yet. I watched the live stream where Xenos went through the entire document, and iirc the only thing he was court ordered to do was to delete and remove all the nudes he had of her and a general no contact order. No jail time or any other real punishment as far as im aware though, and of course the internet is forever, so even if he personally deletes the files, they will still exist somewhere. The damage is already done. There have been cases where cyber criminals are basically legally disallowed from owning devices that can connect to the internet as part of their sentencing, but this is usually limited to like hackers or pd - files. It absolutely should be used in cases like these as well.

It fucking sucks so bad that it's not an actual offense but basically a slap on the wrist. Like @swordsmands said, "the internet is forever" and it's especially tougher if you're a known name on the internet, no matter how big or small your audience is. My heart goes out with Katie.
