Gucci's owner is such a greedy, uncaring person to put her dog through a second litter at 2 years old after already having a complicated birth last time, and Bondi Vet needs to be actively discouraging this behavior because this can end with the poor girl getting complications from having multiple pregnancies and infection from breeding, and once she's no longer a viable breeder for this owner then Gucci is gonna get tossed out like a broken toy and replaced with a new one.

I agree that even at the risk of losing a client, VETS should give their opinion about breeding too early an age, breeding dogs that almost always have trouble whelping, and in this case breeding her again so soon.

The bulldog c-section isn’t a new segment. I’m surprised they repeated it. I can’t speak to why a woman who “loves Gucci and Prada” would breed a French bulldog twice in 2 years, I’m not her, but I suspect money from puppy sales was a factor.

Like how people are trying to breed the hip problems out of German shepherds. Too many health issues, too many stray dogs, too few good homes for them all. I really don’t know if brachycephalic breeds can be saved at all though like some others definitely can. Maybe someday it will be a requirement to castrate them. They live in pain and it’s humanity’s fault. Pugs can’t even breed without human intervention! Nature wants us to stop. I hope more people listen. Adopt, don’t shop.

Oh man... that lady with the frenchy... there's so much I just... *frustrated muffled screeching noises* And what stinks for vets is they often gotta be really careful about criticizing owners, because ultimately, it's the animals who pay for any bad choices the owner makes, which can include "I don't really want to go to this vet/ I'll avoid vets because they're just going to judge me!". Kinda the same reason why I think it would be very hard to work in childcare. Toxic adults who aren't doing anything illegal, but are still going to negatively impact their kids.

I don't understand why not everyone uses the swing method to clear the puppies and get them breathing. I've seen Dr. Chris use the method before many times. It's not a guarantee, but it is another technique to try. 🤷🏾‍♀ I like how the vets, when dealing with large animals, put the needle in first before screwing on the syringe. It's so much safer for the animal and people involved.
