Why do they have to hang round the horse like that? If that horse gets spooked they all will see a horse freak out not caring who is in front of them.

Those that hold their infant while posing near yhe horse are very irresponsible. They clearly didn't read the sign or chose to ignore it.

Happens every day...rude stupid people thinking the horse is theirs...no one shows respect.

@@monicamata5069 • Did you see all those people who stroked the horse or touched it in some way? How many of them ASKED its rider if it was OK to do so? The horse does not belong to any of them, some don't like to be touched at all, and any one of them could be spooked at any minute and dash forward in an attempt to escape. Why would the young woman who was asked to stand back think it acceptable to get so close to two people having a private conversation? Every day these horses are mauled by tourists who seem to think they are merely a prop for their photos, while the polite, sensible tourists manage to stand at the side without touching the horse at all. 🙂

Untill they put barriers up this stupidity is going to keep happening

I've been saying that for a long time.

How bad is someone going to have to get hurt before the tourists realize these are war horses with trained for battle guards. These aren't attractions for the public benefit. In America you can't even get on the base without a pass, proper credentials then verification.

@jadejones • Physical barriers are a no-no. A panicked horse could injure itself on one, possibly harming any tourist near it. Something really does need to be done though, I agree. Among the suggestions I've seen, the one about painting an arc on the pavement in front of the boxes, (with no-one allowed to cross it) seems a good alternative to a physical barrier. A pictogram type sign forbidding touching the horses is needed too. 😊

They need sign in different language saying don't touch reins, stay so far from horse and guard. No petting the horse, maybe great idea.

No they don't. There are translation apps that people who can't understand English can use!! You accomodate the country that you are visiting not the other way around!!
