I think the mission at it's core is building up a 100-game collection. The initially list, in the great words of Captain Barbossa: "The [list] is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules." I think it's a VERY fair modification to your "rules" and in the end, you'll have a collection you're happy with!

I love the story of this and the channel. Nobody is the same person as they were 2 years ago and to be able to identify and document the changes you’ve had as a person and a business tells a story in itself. If you stay stagnant you’re never going to succeed you have to be able to adjust with the times and identify within yourself that a change is needed and it’s great to see how vulnerable you’ve made yourself with these changes without forgetting what got you there

@markdarc044811 ай бұрын
Call me a hater hank, but if your getting rid of the least liked games suggested by fans that really diminishes their input in your channel and makes them feel unimportant because their opinions and input can be overridden at any point just because you said so. On top of that the whole point of fan suggestions is often it is a game that you'll think "eh do I really want to play this?" thats why they suggest them because their underrated and the fans know it'll change your mind once you play them. If your getting rid of games you yourself put on the list who cares, its your choices anyway and your just swapping out your views with other ones of your views. The issue I have is if its fan suggestions your getting rid of. Also on a channel note, to be frank I think your audience will very much diminish if you stop going out to game stores and buying stuff. You have every right to do so, and do whatever works for your business but I can very easily see a vast majority of your audience leaving. Personally im on the fence, ive seen a lot of iffy not well thought out choices like what I talked about previously, and while I do love the game store interviews theres only so many different takes on that. All that to say this, I love your channel dude and ultimately I cannot control you. But I care enough about you and this channel that if I didn't put in my constructive criticism and input Id feel like id be doing you a disservice

10:00 I mean, id kinda prefer you didn't cross off games you didn't actually get (Given you get to go to just about every convention where you have the most opportunity to pick up these games) but at the same. if it means you actually keep the games and not turn around 2 months later selling 40% of them (Including games you promised the people selling them that you'd keep in a collection to get them to knock more money off the price) then swapping titles you want less with ones you want more isn't a bad route to take Edit: For the record. I mean he shouldn't cross off games he doesn't get until the series is over. If he hits 100 Games and his bought ones "Not on the list" that he cares more for, yeah for sure just cross em out and call it done. But like for example. You crossed off Bayonetta 2 and got 3 instead. Which, yeah whatever, personally wouldn't start at a 3rd game in a trilogy but who cares. But what if the literal next stop you found Bayonetta 2? The chance to still get these titles exists (No matter how small) Is it not worth leaving them on the list until you have 100 total games in the collection and then at that point, deciding weather the missing titles are ones you truly want, or if they are just "Another number"

He kept the games he could see himself playing. The only people that have the time to play multiple consoles across multiple generations are kids and mommy’s boy basement redditors. The joy of the collection is the hunt, not playing the games. Let’s do some math real quick with some very conservative numbers; let’s say he keeps 30 of the games on average from the consoles he’s collected/collecting and each game averages a 30hr playtime and he’s collecting switch, ps5, ps1, and GameCube. That would come to 4,500 hours. If Caleb played games every single day for 8hours a day it would only come to 2,920 hours. With the rate of new games constantly coming out and limited time to play them, it is literally Impossible to play them all. They would just sit on a shelf collecting dust.
