Despicable Me 2 is Best one of The Sequels (Movie Review)

Amazing Review! This is a great follow up to the first Despicable Me and it’s my personal favorite of the franchise, I still love the first movie but this movie takes what I love about the first movie and moved it to the next level. I also like how it expands the world building how there is a secret anti-villain organization and I like how Gru is going to work at that organization in order to provide something for his adoptive daughters. This movie is the most action packed of the films mostly because the action scenes are great and they’re fun to watch. The animation is a major improvement over the first movie and the animators of illumination deserve a pat on the back because it looks stunning for a 2013 animated film. And also the third act in the climax is the best part of the movie and it will match the climax of the first movie. I also really love the romance subplot where Gru starts to bond with Lucy and ends up falling in love with her and this movie still has the heart of the first movie and still has a lot of heartwarming moments like Agnes comforting Gru after you learned that Lucy is going into an airport for a mission and Gru asking Lucy out on a date and Lucy says yes. And the humor in this movie is great as well and I would say it’s funnier than the first movie like: The minions are going to the ice cream truck and Lucy sounding the alarm when Gru is trying to scan a wig from the wig shop. The characters are still great and even the new characters are great is the old ones. Lucy is my favorite female character of this movie and the other sequels, Kristen Wiig did an amazing job voice in this character and I can tell that she’s having fun with the character. Silas Ramsbottom is a really good character I like how he is the leader of The anti-villain league organization. The minions are still good and funny characters. El Macho is my favorite villain of Despicable Me. El macho is more villainous then Vector from the first movie, because I feel like Victor is a comedic villain and El Macho is more a smarter villain how he hides his tracks from anyone can you meets including Gru. I unfortunately didn’t see it in theaters but luckily I saw it on TV with my mother. It’s one of the better movies of 2013 (which I heard it was one of the worst years for animation).

Despicable Me 2 was one of those movies that was really need back in 2013 because 2013 was a year wear there wasn't a lot of funny comedy movies and so this movie was a nice breath of fresh air for me when I saw this movie back in 2013.

Undoubtedly, this film is a great film, but the best part about it is El Macho himself.
