I can't recall a single song that actively "left" the Encanto, except for Pressure. All the other songs directly took place in the house or around the village/landscape, just with added special effects, lots of which can be explained through their powers. When i watched this movie for the first time with my sister We joked about that this is some religious cult and grandma was the ultimate evil Like She isolated a bunch of people in the mountains, forced them to work on her and her family by threatening them with their gift magic shit She has the one to pass her power (the big sis (I don't give a shit about their names)) she has the one to continue their bloodline (tge flower one) and the others to use them. But Bruno predicted the fall of their mainsource of power - house - and she didn't want to give their slaves hope that they're will fall so she banned him. No one can even talk about him. And then there's Mirabel with no gift - the another threat to family's authority, because people could think that ther miracle magic is getting weak And then everything goes stupid in the third act And i hate "we don't talk about bruno"

My favourite thing about this movie that my 10-year-old brother pointed out, is that Mirabel isn't jealous of her family. You can see how proud she is of their accomplishments, albeit slightly annoyed by Isabela's "perfection". But she never gets mad at her family for having gifts and her not having them. It's more-so that she feels like she's not part of the family because of it and that she herself isn't good enough. That's so amazingly refreshing to see. It's not jealousy but a feeling of not belonging and not being good enough.

I felt the animation of Encanto was on a whole other level. Literally felt like there was a camera implanted in the virtual world recording the characters in real time moving, while the camera moves along with the dancing and singing. The contrast and colours in this movie also felt exceptionally popping to me.
