It unfortunately came to nothing, as Keene confronted Hall and was thrown into solitary confinement. The FBI never got his message and after his release from solitary, the map was gone.Despite recanting his confession for the murder of Jessica Roach in both the Black Bird show true story and in real life, and appealing his initial sentence, Larry Hall’s story was too accurate. After the Larry Hall Black Bird story concluded, his real-life counterpart went on to be found guilty and given life without parole. However, he wasn’t convicted for murder - only kidnapping. The fact that the kidnapping led to a death is the only reason Larry Hall’s sentence ended up being life without parole.Larry Hall is now 59 and serving his sentence in Butner, North Carolina. It would have been due to lack of solid evidence. If he is tried on a number of murders and found not guilty, they cannot then later charge him again after they find more substantial evidence. That is literally what double jeopardy laws are about. By not taking it to trial on circumstantial evidence that a jury could easily end up not achieving 'beyond reasonable doubt' the further investigation could continue and more evidence gathered. Hind sight is useless in the moment. This movie is a romanticized story told after the fact via a third person, at best. Do you really want to live in a world where effectively a Karen pointing and saying "he did it" means you get the chair? Because, unlike all the media we forget is entertainment assuming our memories are actual events even if we forgot where we saw that before (and the constant echo chamber doom and gloom of news-like infotainment outlets), reality does NOT work that way. It really doesnt. And Id hate to be in a world where it did.....
