Learn how to make Waterfall Valance part 2

1. Measure the desired finished drop and multiply it by 2.50. For example, if you want an 18" drop, the calculation would be 18" x 2.50 = 45" drop.
2. Hem both sides of the fabric.
3. Sew down the middle section of the fabric to create a pocket. The size of this pocket will depend on the size of your pole or rod.
4. Mark the bottom of the fabric at the calculated drop length (e.g., 45") when making the swag from the top.
5. Continue drawing the rest of the design, following the instructions in the video.
6. Close up the valance by sewing any necessary seams.
When installing the swags on a pole, start by taking the two outer swags. Place the middle sections of these swags through the pole on each side, creating a mirrored image. Let the ends of the swags hang down for now.
Next, move to the middle section of the swags. Bring the left side through the pole, allowing the two swags to meet in the centre. Thread the end of the left-side swag through the pole, completing one swag in the centre.
Now, lift up the right-side swag and thread it through the pole. Go back to the left side of the pole and lift the hanging end of the swag through the pole as well. This will create a pattern with one swag below, another on top, and the right-side swag underneath the middle section.
The dominant part of the pattern will be in the centre, with sections of the swags below on both the left and right sides. This completes the installation, resulting in an elegant and balanced arrangement. If you need further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask!

Marshia Thomas, I can't remember right now because it's years since I done it but sometime I talk and sometime I don't, when I don't talk I just want to get on with it because somebody has requested it and I just do it quickly in between my jobs.
