This song was performed as the last song at the live in March 2021. Especially here, Miho's bass sound that echoes throughout the song wraps my body. Come to think of it, this song was the last song that Miho performed at LOVEBITES live. It's a powerful song, but it's a farewell song to Miho. It is also a song that makes you feel a little sad. ---------- from Nippon *It is a sentence using Google translation. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.

I relate to the emotion of Miho's final 'released' performance as she is the originator & founding member, composer & lyricist & bassist of LOVEBITES. I understand that there was one more performance at Namba Hatch, Osaka, Japan on April 2, 2021 where they came back after "Thunder Vengeance" & "Under The Red Sky" for a second encore, Haruna's "Bravehearted". The same song chosen to "debut" new "5th Element" Fami on bass in October 2022. Also performed at both "Resurrection" shows in March & "The Shining Vol.2" in May. ----- If this is in error, verified corrections are always encouraged.

LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in SOLO: midori / miyako Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome SOLO: both / midori ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Battle Against Damnation EP 06/06/2018

Hey, thanks for the shoutout. I appreciate it! Thanks for giving this song a listen, too. It’s one of my favorites from LB. There’s a hopeful element to it, especially toward the end, and Midori (blonde guitarist) is doing some great work throughout. Regarding the third song about World War II, “Above the Black Sea,” it’s about the various Japanese suicide units during that war but doesn’t form any kind of trilogy with these two songs.

One of my favorite song from lovebites, it give me goosebump when midori uses the slide, it has a sad and eerie sound

Although not directly linked, “Above the Black Sea” is on the “Battle against Damnation” EP along with “Under the Red Sky”. The titles alone suggest a direct relationship, and as the horrors of the war are the subject of the three songs, I always refer to them as a trilogy, even if not by design. So yes, “Above the Black Sea” has to be your next reaction, and I hope you will choose the Wacken version.

This song is about the criminal atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Mao composed “Under the Red Sky” and the Miyako composed “Above the Black Sea” are considered a love letter from Miyako to Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov 🤘

Great reaction. I am Japanese. The G7 Summit was being held in Hiroshima right now, and the leaders of each country visited the Atomic Bomb Museum. LOVEBITES is trying to turn a dire reality into a positive hope. Due to COVID-19, this live was banned from cheering and singing by the audience. ASAMI's hand on her chest means "Please sing in your heart".

This song is supposed to be about the bombing of Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
@Hadesillo Жыл бұрын
Under the Red Sky and Above the Black Sea seem to be about the battles on the eastern front during WW2, not the terror attack against Hiroshima. The Apocalypse maybe.
@dregeye Жыл бұрын
It is my understanding that Miho's song "The Apocalypse" is about the atomic bombings and Asami wrote "Under The Red Sky" as a more hopeful followup, both songs with Mao in support of the music. "Above The Black Sea" I understand to be about a kamikaze pilot contemplating his destiny, not about the Black Sea in Eastern Europe but the blackness of the ocean the pilot is flying over. ----- If this is in error, affirmed corrections are invited & welcome.
@Hadesillo Жыл бұрын
@@dregeye Ah yes when i said the eastern front i was thinking in the Far East, I forgot we sometimes also call that to the stuff going on in east europe. About Under the Red Sky I heard both songs in Battle were about the fights in the WW2, it might be possible what you said too as I've not looked deep into it.
