They've trainned it to perfection. It's my favourite part of the Live Action. It's like they had jumped from the anime. The jumps, the smile, the fight. I was so impressed when I watched it few years ago ❤

The pace of fight is really fast, maybe can slow things down here and there for the audience to catch their breath. Majority of people watching may not see things as fast as this film intended to. most of it is perfect, anyway.

Less dramatic due to duration i guess. In anime, the single fight alone can take two or three episodes as i remember, and they made it in slow motion. Betond that, i agree that this was the best fight and kenshin's most balance opponent. 😊
@CryptidDetectiveАй бұрын
@@hercavotica Valid point but it's a preference, I guess. This pace works for me since the audience could see and appreciate the level of skill these characters operate at, as opposed to the slower cannon fodder whose attacks are easily tracked and expected.

What I've always liked about Kenshin about a character - and which was slightly frustrating about him - was that he always gave himself a big nerf/disadvantage by using the sakabato. You'd see him always hit his opponents in combat and if he was using a regular sword, that'd be it: game over. But because he uses his sakabato it's a non-lethal hit and the enemy always has a another chance to keep knocking Kenshin's head in. But hey, that's how he's decided to live his life.

Yeah, the part I don’t like is people not giving him credit, like in the first Saito fight, Saito should be dead had Kenshin used a normal sword, but he just keeps saying how weak has Battousai become.

Kenshin can predict opponents' movement from Sakki(殺気 = Murderous Intent), but Sojiro has no Sakki, That's why fighting with Sojiro was very difficult for Kenshin.
@mahfurhadi765Ай бұрын
And they have same speed
@vietcuongnguyenle853012 күн бұрын
@@mahfurhadi765not really Sojiro movement is faster But kenshin attack speed is faster, at the first fight, not having killing intent and using a “ special sword” slow his movement make him can’t keep up with sojiro movement lead to he lose At the second fight. The new technique and the training make kenshin can keep up with sojiro movement and figure out the right timing to attack
Real sword fights like this only last a few seconds at most, the skill for 2 master swordsman to fight this long would literally be off the charts... That being said this is still amazing choreography. These 2 obviously put a lot of practice into this

Parallel running allows for a more dramatic clash at the end, followed by a brief pause where the outcome is revealed. This slow burn approach makes victories or defeat more impactful.

What I like about this is that they look like they actually aim for their opponent's body when attacking, and the opponent just happen to block their strikes. Instead of the sh*t I see in some movies where the fighters just meet their weapons at a safe point between the two of them, like they're just aiming for each other's weapon. Not to mention the slow and stiff movement without the full use of their legs *ahem... star wars prequels*.
@Shindenize9 күн бұрын
I think this is what makes the fight looks super high leveled. Kenshin and Sojiro are on a constant rapid cycle of parrying strikes and anticipating the next strikes in rapid succession instead of clashing swords. They also use feints and dodges interspersed within the strikes and parries that are clearly targeting their opponent's body parts.

Here you can see the difference between Western and Eastern action movies. If this was made by an American, there would have been 20 different camera angles in 10 seconds. Compensating the western "action stars'" lack of fighting ability with intense camera movement and angle to make it look interesting. Asian Movies makes the camera stay still and let the actors move and do the actual scenes.

Sadly, not all Japanese live action adaptions of anime are good. For example, the _Attack on Titan_ was terrible. The only good thing about that movie was the design and movements of the 3D Maneuvering Gears and designs the Titans.
no man, let the art goes on, naruto, the manga and anime have good art, pay animators ton of money and let them make full 48 fps anime with outstanding visual effect and cgi combined, i believe that's better idea, since combining video footage and cgi is more irritating work than to work all in computer graphics , cheers!
