The thing that always blows my mind about this is that Kenshin is so good that for most of the scene he doesn't even bother to draw his sword, because he doesn't need it; when he finally does, it actually comes as a shock, and adds weight to his words.

I like that Kenshin is self assured that the men he fought outside the Dojo aren't getting up any time soon so he doesn't even look behind himself as he approached the entrance to the Dojo. He also is so calm and so comfortable with his ability that he respectfully pauses, removes his shoes, and bows before entering. That honorable, respectful, peaceful gesture in an of itself, had I been a villain already in the Dojo even with my own posse of fellow thugs, would have made me pee myself. All these fight scenes are choreographed artfully and performed beautifully.

now this is a well detailed observation, Takeru sato should be any of Giyu, zenitsu and rengoku and kokushibo if there is a live adaptation to DS one day
Kenshin: I don't kill with this blade anymore. Kaoru: I'm pretty sure you just killed the guy you bashed both sides of his neck with that piece of wood. Kenshin: Not with the blade though.

I don't know how feasible this would be in reality, but still. This is a well choreographed and filmed scene, and if Kenshin is really that crazy skilled in canon, then a roomful of untrained thugs like this is child's play.

Bruce Lee is a true martial artist who developed his own school, Jeet Kune Do. He was a student, teacher, and best friend to Dan Inosanto, a pioneer of modern FMA. Bruce also pursued his interests in philosophy and religion. On the sucky side, apparently he fell ill (leading to his passing) in the home of his side chick. Sure, this film is flashy, much flashier than Bruce's films. (By the way, Bruce also refused to film scenes that were too unrealistic or portrayed martial arts in what he felt was a bad light.) But Bruce Lee is just a class of his own.

Real quick Hitokiri= Manslayer Battousai = Battou meaning "Quick draw" Sai meaning "Master" so "master of quick draw" Battousai was his nickname during the war since he was the fastest amongst his peers with the Battoujutsu technique (the old term for what is now known as Iaijutsu or the attack where you draw your sword, and slash in one fluid motion) Kenshin is his real name. He stopped using his Battousai name once the war ended, but people kept bringing it up since he was a "legend"
