Ahh thanks so for response...I found you through others in the group..lots of FSBO in Montana go in adds every day...but it is a shot in the dark,,,,,the cold dark,,the cold snowy dark...for right one across a LARGE space....It goes Alaska, Texas California or the other way and then Montana for land space. I think you will find the right one for tight price...just watch the FSBO and glad you found a sweet little hotel...

you cant beat a lance. I owned a 1990 lance 10.6 lance for 27 years and never had a problem with it other than replacing the fridge which was worn out. love you guys . you are part of my family now.

I had to laugh at the beginning of your video. Your face so reminded me of me when my late husband would be doing all his last minute stuff after waiting for me to get ready. Nice video guys. I love shopping for truck campers in person or with youtubers. Dealers are a great place to look at layouts and to see how water damage can manifest in rigs. I would never buy from a dealer though ( 19000? Lol ). Love the dry bath in the lance, hate slides, laminated surfaces and any damage prior to buying. The offset step is so you can have a trailer hitch stick out below the door to pull that boat you get. I just paid 1200 bucks to extend my trailer hitch 3 feet so I can pull my trailer and that was parts only, I installed everything myself. Take care folks, safe travels

Ohhh, I remember how tired I got traipsing around Rv lots in Tucson in th heat. No AC on in the units lol. It doesn't look so hot there, what a blessing! I'm onside with the others who say that your new home is out there being readied for you. The Guy Upstairs has the timing under control. Seems like truck campers are rare except in the northwest and Alaska. We had to travel from New Jersey to New Hampshire to find ours. Good luck!

Scott & Terri hope your feeling better and not still so sore from the accident Hard to believe that it's the real old London Bridge brought over from England and rebuilt in Havasu , Arizona . What damage was done to your truck in the accident ? I went on the boat dealers website the boat you didn't know what it's called is : 1981 DELTA VAN CRUISER 26′. If you were close to me here in Florida I would invite ya's to come stay with me while looking for another truck camper & getting your truck taken care of but I'm afraid I'm just a little to far away from you LOL !! Questions for DestinationOpenRoad. 1) What is your energy source for running the refridge, AC, the hot water for the shower, the heat and other items in your Lance? Does it all power from / run off the truck battery? 2)Do you have to use propane for some things. Mostly interested in the electricity, and how that all works in a Lance. 3) What would you estimate is the cost to cook, shower and power / daily needs per week or month in warm weather? Thanks. I know you are busy with your situation. Hoping eventually, you can share so we newbies can figure out how to go about the challenge of obtaining best rig for our budget. The refrigerator is 3 way, AC/DC and propane, hot water is heated by propane, heat is propane with 12v fan that runs off the camper battery which charges when the truck is running. Once we are actually in the camper we will try and answer some of your other questions. Have a great weekend!

I had a 2002 lance 1161..it developed leaks ..repaired under warranty..leaked continuously..finally got rid of it and bought a Fleetwood class c...good luck on your search

Last Wednesday. You may already have one by now. If not, how about Quartsite? Lots of RV action there. You may consider heading back up to the PNW. Maybe you guys could consider a good used travel trailer (lots of them for sale everywhere) in the short term to live in for the winter and when you get back to Washington you could sell it when you find the right camper and recoup your investment.

Just 2 tips from a RV owner. 1) whatever the dealer's price is take 30% off. So that camper can be had for 13k not 19k. 2) if there's damage that could have (or is) caused water infiltration just walk away. Even if it looks like it was repaired well you can still have mold problems later on. The other thing is you can get some really good deals from private sellers in areas where retirees tend to live. AZ being one of them. There's always an elderly person who is selling because they can no longer handle driving an RV. Plus elderly people tend to take great care of their RVs, as a rule.
