Hey Guardians! This week we see Caiatl’s nightmare conclusion with Dominus Ghaul! Out of the 3 characters, Caiatl was the only one not to take part in the severance ritual. Last week we witnessed her struggle to take on her former mentor, but this week things are different.

Something I noticed while watching. During the message between Caiatl and Zavala, Zavala says "I see you". It's probably nothing, but it feels like a callback to when Ghaul became that Giant being of pure Light and said "Traveler! Do you see me now?" It could be Zavala giving a small dig at Ghaul, saying that they see Caiatl as worthy of the Light, while Ghaul may have not.

If you think about it, we now have three pyramids, three disciples, and three main enemy races. Calus of the Cabal with the lunar pyramid, Xivu Arath of the hive with Savathun's pyramid, and Eramis of the fallen with the Europa pyramid. What if the next two seasons are focused on them claiming their respective pyramids, all leading up to the final conflict in Lightfall

In order for rhulk to become a disciple of the witness he had to lose everything that tied him down his home planet his star everything and get rid of it by his own hand I think we have basically done that for calus by doing the the sever missions and duality basically by doing sever we make it easier for calus to become a dominant force within the lunar pyramid by basically getting rid of the nightmares for him the security then duality was us basically killing the things that were keeping calus bound to this plane his emotions we have basically done all the work for ascending calus for him this is just my personal theory though

I personally see the next season might be themed around us finally getting rid of the taken curse on the dreaming city. Crow mentions that he plans to undo the mistakes Uldren made that he can and the curse is one of those. As Uldren opened the way to the dreaming city, on a false belief that it was Mara asking him to do so. Plus if the next raid is a revamped Kings Fall, it also fits thematically as well. Like how VoG did with Splicer, as that was a Vex focused season. I mean the Battle of Saturn is what set the events that led to the curse. Oryx defeated the Awoken fleet, took Kalli, Shuro Chi and Sedia. Learned about Riven from them. Took Riven via a wish. Savathun then learned about Riven and took up those strings via a wish. Savathun then wished for the taken curse upon Rivens death. Then the events of Forsaken happened.

My theory, I just think we’re looking in the wrong place when the source is right under our noses, the Crown of Sorrow itself. The Crown of Sorrow raid was on the Leviathan, so that explains it’s corruption with Egregore. Calus hired a Guardian to smuggle the Crown somewhere else and the Glycon got corrupted with Egregore. Now if you looked, every week the Egregore is spreading further and further throughout the HELM, corrupting it. Calus can sense us walking around his Leviathan because all the spores are connected, like he said, they are like his own veins and he can feel us. If he was still on the Leviathan when we defeated Ghalran, he could have binded himself to the Crown or made it something like his Throne World. I think where the Glycon was supposed to go was to the Moon, into that pyramid but didnt make it. If we look at the guardian that is holding the Dead Mans Tale, those roots that went through his body came from underneath, and if you collected all the datapads, you would know that it open a door underneath where that guardian was. Guess what was underneath inside that room? The Crown of Sorrow. We are actually helping Calus by placing the Crown on the HELM,because Calus knew we would never bring the Crown into that pyramid, he would infect the HELM and send it crashing into the pyramid and therefore putting the Crown inside. That’s why the Leviathan is on the moon now as well and wouldnt be surprised if the Glycon was somehwere near by as well.

i feel like regardless of what we do, calus is gonna have full control over the lunar pyramid and its physic powers. this is a losing battle and the nightmares were reawakened to buy calus time to form a link with it. the end of season mission might be us seeing the lunar pyramid rise from its slumber. now with a new disciple to command it. this is the beginning of the end as eris put it. we stand at the doorstep of the end.

But if they had, the result would be a normal human or that the human mother becoming a Exo together with the baby, since they are made of Radiolarium. Now, about the Awoken, I guess the child would be born blue too. Since Awoken are basically humans in 99% of things, they probably wouldn't have any major difference except the Awoken traits (which would make it a normal Awoken I guess) and maybe a lesser blue skin. It would be better if we saw Zavala's son and his skin tone, but we don't know how he is nor his skin tone.

I feel sorry to Ghaul for tell his stories in the past in Destiny 2. Ghaul is a hero of his cabal empire and army and civilization. He just do his best to be hero of cabal and he's wants to know the traveler and he's ready to seek power of the traveler of light. If he is trustworthy to wield the power of traveler of light. And yet he did. I wonder if Ghaul will return as guardian with new ghost in new season and his name gonna change as Gary just like Crow.

Cayde is Ikora's nightmare, but it would honestly be so dope if it were Oryx or Crota. I saw a theory a while back that went like: Our guardian doesnt have a nightmare because it already defeated them in the pyramid at the end of shadowkeep. Or another theory is that our guardians nightmare is themselves, whom they also confronted at the end of shadowkeep.

maybe a 3 person activity to get to the Lunar Pyramid to confront and possibly capture Calus but manages to enter the dormant Pyramid before we could get to him but then the nothing happens but Eris would recommend we keep an eye out on the pyramid and by the time Lightfall hits Calus woken the Pyramid forcing it out of the Scarlet Keep collapsing The Hellmouth and majority of the Moons surface. I did say somewhere else that i believe Lightfall would have the Traveller try and leave but is shot down or disabled crashing it into Old Chicago and having Xivu Arath and The Vex and some scavenging Fallen move towards the wreckage while Calus and the Pyramid sit in Orbit watching Earth so close then as a raid to infiltrate Pyramid and dispose of Calus

So I am thinking that Calus is not the leviathan like he says. But he is the fungal mold itself. In duality we learn that he has left his physical form. Calus saying he is the leviathan in not entirely true. The egregore looks very similar to "zombie fungi". So this leads me to believe that he acts like how the flood have the more he consumes the smarter he becomes. My theory then goes that he was slow taking control of the presige ship then took that ship to the leviathan to then take over the leviathan similar to how the flood do. It's a basic theory but since we havent gotten a full explaination (that I have seen) of what the egregore mold is that is what I am currently thinking

Damm gaul was such an interesting character, a lil specist and very illogically aggressive toward those he deems lesser. But such an intelligent enemy fought only through a spearheaded magic soldier and a mortal militia, almost won, and was burnt away by the traveler stirring to wake and inadvertently call out to its sister. He was the only one to think beyond his traditions even as he embodied their blind conquest ideologies. Like Savathün, had he been forced into a better direction maybe- his curiosity could've let him see truth.

@@DanYami because the story is boring and repetitive. The story uses old content for example the leviathan and its rooms from the raid. the story mission is always the same since 6 weeks only with different characters. The character development also leaves a lot to be desired. caitel got rid of her conflict with ghoul, zavala is suddenly a city dweller leading a normal life and crow is over his depression after about 5 seasons. oh, and during the whole drama, calus, who suddenly dived again (content voult), takes over the pyramid and the darkness keeps increasing. That's like saying: "Oh, let's fight for a righteous cause. What Zavala, Crow and Caitle suffer from depression. Darkness can wait." Instead of getting creative and publishing new content in the story area that isn't done in 10 minutes, the focus is more on repetitive missions with no meaning or purpose. I'm sorry but this is horrible.

I believe the final fight between us and Calus is that we have to destroy the Leviathon in some way to prevent Calus from using the Lunar Pyramid as his weapon since the Pyramid ship and Leviathon are connected somehow so what if the Leviathon gets destroyed would that sever the link between both ships and stop Calus's Nightmare?.

I think the irony somewhat is that Caiatl is where Calus was when he first took power. He wanted to create a more peaceful empire, one where people could stop fighting and revel in the delights of life and grow fat from strength. Okay, Calus was a little more twisted than Caiatl, but still pretty similar.

@@banetoura There was a line that Eris mentioned, stating the dark below, being Crota’s End. I think they’ll keep the raid aspect of it but through some fun changes into it. Spice up the encounters to feel nostalgic, but new.

If your telling me the best season will be more nightmares, ima skip it. This nightmare stuff is really boring me. Seemed really fun the first week but it's awful now. I just get on at reset to finish the story quest and I'm done for the week and even that's dreadful because the missions are the exact same and very boring.

I might be jumping ahead, but if not the next season then the season after ought to be SIVA themed. I think Calus has become the Leviathan itself through the egregore fungus, and once Rasputin is back, we will unleash SIVA with the help of Mithrax and his splicers, and Rasputin will be able to remotely take control of the Leviathan.
